sounds like the rim of fire will be moving and shaking for some time. Here on the North American west coast, included.

Whole lota shaken going on.

Prayers for those who have suffered in the recent earthquakes.

I don’t think we will ever know the total number of people lost in Japan.

6.1?

Of late, that's a fart in a whirlwind.

I thought Armageddon was scheduled for next year. I suppose the Mayas had a faulty algorithm - as a former computer programmer I can sympathize: leap year every four years except every even century years, except every 400 years, got it?

That’s great it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, Lenny Bruce is not afraid...

Here is a great little program that will give you a 3D real-time view of the planet and every earthquake in the last seven days.

It's free.

The ring of fire is really shaking and quaking...will this be the spring of the BIG ONE in Calif.?

They've had a LOT of extra rain and snow out there this season. If that all sinks into the ground at once and makes a nice mud slurry that greases up those joints where the Atlantic Plate and Pacific Plates are hung up on one another could cause a slip and WHAMO -

After living out there for a decade and a couple good shakers, I decided if I didn't want to be there for the Big One, I'd best get back home to New England.

Now I live in a quiet patch of forest, not worrying abut quakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, no flooding in my area, etc. Just winters. But with my wood stove and snowshoes - I got the least to worry about.

Some idiot will probably blame the earthquakes on the fracking of shale gas and oil wells in the US! They will demand an ONSHORE drilling “moratorium”, to go along with Herr Obama’s offshore drilling ban!

I'm sorry, but I'm getting kind of numb from all the events at once.

The closest analogy I have is Calvin and Hobbes:

NO cheers, unfortunately. Prayers up for Japan.
