It is sicking how one gets attacked around here if they are not a neocon of some type. I don’t follow the norm just so that life will be easy. And I am not fond of things that are irrational. For instance I thought Global warming was a scam long before climategate. I saw the Rino neocons coming in the very beginning. Neocons don’t allow any thought that is different from theirs. They are just like the liberals. Decent is not tolerated. No matter what the facts. Name calling is how they try to win. I look at the benefits and risks of nuclear power. And I have decided that it is a bigger Risk than is worth wild.
Admittedly I have a spiritual side as well. And that does play into what I think. As I look not only to my own life, but at the life of those to come. But I try to do that rationally. Sadly that makes me a hippie in the minds of many here.

Dude. I'm a hippie and an environmentalist.

But, I'm not a whacko Greepeacer like the commie watermelons.

You know, green on the outside, read on the inside.

That said, I'm a big believer in nukes.

We can’t all be the same, thank heaven, but one thing you’ll surely notice around here is that you must be able to defend yourself...lol...I find that mostly invigorating to my thinking (sharpens my thinking and debating), however if people cross the line of being kind, with those around here who are mostly of a like mind, I think that’s too much...people can certainly challenge people’s thinking, without being downright mean about it. They may even win others over to their point of view with such an approach! :) Now that said, I think one of the issues of energy independence is how it will allow us to decouple ourselves from the insanity of the Muslim world.

That’s at least worth deep thought and discussion. I don’t think complete energy independence should be at the cost
our national strength and economy. But energy conservation, efficiency and new energy are part of the equation - and to think otherwise I think only aids and abets the enemy (radical islam).

Let’s all get into a winning wartime mentality.

Cheers!

Bruce
