Tokyo Electric Power Co. (9501.TO) said Saturday that the temperatures of its No.1 and No.2 reactors at its Fukushima Daini nuclear power station are rising, and it has lost control over pressure in the reactors.
Fukushima Daini station is the second nuclear power plant the company has in Fukushima prefecture in northeastern Japan, where the troubled Fukushima Daiichi plant is located.

We are constantly discovering previously unknown faults.
I was living in Calif in the early ‘70’s when it was discovered that the newly ocnstructed Diablo nuclear plant was built over a unknown fault. Oops.
Even Arkansas just had a large swarm that ended in a pretty good quake for them.
And then there's the volcanoes. Sure hope that caldera in Yellowstone goes back asleep - or it won't matter WHERE on earth we live - game over.

I’m pretty sure we should all be dead by now according to the environmentalists. The Southwest United states should be entirely uninhabitable. Funny that it is the fastest growing area. Shrugs shoulders.

To tie the use of 60” TV screens to a mad dash for more power comes across as a hippies bad trip. Are you a convert having flashbacks?

- loss of power prevents planned release of steam in vessel
- backup battery system will only last a few hours
- diesel backup generators were flooded
- beyond the evacs, those within 16 mi radius have been told to stay indoors

Japan has proper containment. It’s unlikely that it would bust the cap of the plant.
This is just down and dirty blurb. My suggestion if you are interested is to read his books. I loved them. I’m not big on Predictions, but hey if he was right so be it.

Edgar Cayce forecast that Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and would be gone, Japan as well, and Europe would be completely changed “in the twinkling of an eye.” The Mississippi area of the United States would not fare so well. The Mississippi would become quite wide and the Great Lakes will drain into the Gulf of Mexico through it. Carolina and Georgia are also slated for disappearance. Some central states in the United States will be somewhat alright like the Illinois Ohio, Montana areas, while Canada has large portions of undisturbed area too. The western part of Canada is going to have challenges though. Edgar Cayce also predicted that there would be volcanic eruptions and earthquakes in the southern hemisphere more than the northern hemisphere. Land masses within the seas will arise to become islands and continents of their own.
Unfortunately, Edgar Cayce doesn’t mention much about other parts of the world. It is probably due to the fact that he was from the United States and travel in his lifetime overseas wasn’t as easily accessible then as it is now. He most likely didn’t know a lot about the other parts of the world since his era wasn’t as connected in communication like we are now. He does say however that there will be strife in Egypt, Libya, Ankara, Syria, the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf. He also mentioned that there would be strife in the Davis Strait which is between Greenland and Canada.
Edgar Cayce also predicted that there would be a global pole shift of 17 degrees into Russia and reportedly there will be a shift of 16 degrees, which is close.

An 8.9 magnitude earthquake has nothing to do with the nuclear industry.
That’s what I was asking blam about earlier, Japan being opposite Yellowstone, more or less, and the supermoon coming up.
One, the plants have containment.
Two, even if it had as large a release of Chernobyl, Japan is 5500 miles from LA. The radiation will not reach america.
You pose a very good question. I wonder if any ‘experts’ ever look at this? Certainly animals are affected before a quake...
