We are constantly discovering previously unknown faults.
I was living in Calif in the early ‘70’s when it was discovered that the newly ocnstructed Diablo nuclear plant was built over a unknown fault. Oops.
Even Arkansas just had a large swarm that ended in a pretty good quake for them.
And then there's the volcanoes. Sure hope that caldera in Yellowstone goes back asleep - or it won't matter WHERE on earth we live - game over.
