It's easier getting kids into the car seats when getting ready to go somewhere. They settle in and being so short and visually impaired, they quickly fall asleep....or they wake up asking 'Are we there yet?'.

Prying sleepy kids out of a carseat once you've gotten somewhere is often an ordeal.

When we were kids and my mother had a stationwagon, my mother would pile us in the back and when we got somewhere drop the tailgate and let us pile out.

Evening! ***hugs*** I have not asked for a song ‘cause I cannot think of one by the time Friday rolls around. I know I should write down a song on a note pad. That was the plan then I lost the pad!!!! LOL **hugs**

This is the longest possible version of the song. On the album, it is split into two separate and non-contiguous cuts, and the single version was a case of absolute butchery.

This is the version I put together at KING in 1973 thanks to expert guidance from legendary disk jockey Bill Gardner, who was a wizard in the production studio. (I wasn't alone because a lot of us in the business did the same thing to the song at various radio stations.)

Thannkfully, CBS Records has done the same thing and put the song back together again.

So far, Onions (3 kinds) and Taters (reds and Russets) are in the ground and happy sprouts. Snow in the forcast for Monday, but tonight is “soaking rain” and a mild, sunny weekend. A little snow Monday night won’t hurt.

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

Sgt. Kristopher J. Gould, USA, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, KIA Afghanistan 27FEB2011

I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

God Of Our Fathers

Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace!
We who remain hold you in high honor.
Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct;
We who remain keep this place sacred.
Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades;
We who remain keep the watch.
Rest, fallen brother, among these who answered the Nation’s call;
We who remain press the fight forward in your name.
Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden;
We who remain have taken up the torch.
Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!
