Oil prices around the world continued to soar today, buffeted by uncertainty in the Middle East. Crude oil futures hovered above $103 a barrel in New York this morning. In London trading, oil headed for its sixth weekly gain, according to Bloomberg News.
An oil facility in Libya was reportedly damaged and on fire, the Al Jazeera news channel reported today. Meanwhile, demonstrators continued to protest in Saudi Arabia, demanding the release of Shiite prisoners, according to CNN.
In the United States, how much pain at the pump drivers feel may depend on three factors: location, location, and location. In Orlando, Fla., two gas stations that are the closest to the airport, and across the street from each other, are selling regular at $5.29 and $5.19 a gallon.
Overnight the price gasoline went up 17 cents along the New Jersey Turnpike. This morning drivers saw the price jump from $3.08 yesterday to $3.25 today.
After the biggest one-week rise in oil prices in two years, weekly gas prices increased 6 percent this week, according to the Department of Energy. The national average is $3.38 per gallon, an increase of 19 cents over the previous week and 68 cents from the previous year. The average price in California, one of the most expensive states, is $3.72 per gallon. The least expensive gas is in the Rocky Mountain region: $3.18 a gallon.

Saw $3.79 on way into work, Redmond in the People’s Soviet of Washington.
The weird part is the last time it got to $4/gallon oil was $140/barrel. Something doesn’t pass the smell test here....
There’s NO WAY it’s over $5 in Orlando. That’s a misprint. It’s only $3.50 here in Tampa.

That is such crap. The article is such a ridiculous distortion of the truth. Every gas station in America has higher gas prices at the airports. Perhaps had they put the average in Florida and not make it so dramatic that would have been more interesting. They use Orlando on the high side but use the entire state of Mass for 4.00? FREEPERS should be upset by this story of distortions.
The Democrats are always the ones who insist that gas prices in the US are much too low and that we “need” $5-6 a gallon gasoline. Well, we’re going to find out.
These stations near the airport have been ripping people off for years. High prices here are the norm.
They prey on unsuspecting rental car users that suddenly remember they're supposed to return the cars with a full tank.
Price gouging?
Not a problem sheeple... we NEED high prices to encourage green energy. Go back to sleep sheeple... that’s right, that’s nice, good sheeple....
Don’t forget to vote for Dear Reader in 12 sheep!
I would say that the 2 stations at the Orlando airport are price gouging people returning to the rental car lots.

Bull crap story that FREEPERS are eating up. Can’t even believe it. Thank God you are sensible.

OBAMA SUPPORTS HIGH GAS PRICES
Last time gasoline hit the price we see here, Oil was over $150 per barrel.
What does that mean? Gouging?
Lest we forget - our president has publicly stated that he is IN FAVOR of $4+ gasoline. After all, his brothers in the faith grow much fatter and richer (and support their terrorist minions) all the better.
Remember last time prices got this high? The press + useful idiots all over pointed fingers at GW Bush.
So where are the fingers pointing now? How come Obammy isn’t taking dramatic heat? He has done more to cause these high prices than Bush ever did. At least Bush eased some regs and talked about opening up more opportunities for exploration and production (which immediately drove down prices).
Well, he did promise us European level gas prices.
Only $3.00/gal more to go.
All I know is that while pumping gas this morning, I half expected to hear some Barry White and be offered champagne first.
You Tube scrubbed that video to help their buddy, Obama. Preserve that video.
Nice...
I wish these greedy AHs would raise it to $6.50 and bring the country to complete halt...Put the lid on it and just let it boil...
Remember when the press went ape-shiite when the price went to $2.00/gal under Bush?
