Former Congressman Fred Grandy is no longer on WMAL Radio in Washington, DC because he and his wife told the truth about the threat which Shariah and Radical Islam pose to America. Fred Grandy and Mrs. Fred interviewed former FBI agents, experts on Shariah law and activists who are fighting radical Islamists in their communities. They told the truth about radical jihadists and their plans to gut the Constitution and destroy America. On March 2, 2011, WMALs management told Grandy he needed to tone down any stories on radical Islam. They also told him his wife, an outspoken critic of Islamist infiltration, could not be included in future programs. Fred Grandy refused to accept those conditions and that was his last day on WMAL radio. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an unindicted co-conspirator in the federal Holy Land Foundation terror-financing trial, has complained about Grandys outspoken criticism of their organization and other radical groups. WMAL has a record of yielding to CAIR demands. On two previous occasions, the station removed talk show hosts who had been targeted by CAIR. Fred Grandy, the First Amendment and the Truth need your voice. Monday (March 7) and Tuesday (March 8) are Call Out WMAL Days. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each of those days, please call WMAL at (202) 895-2350 and (202) 686-3100 and tell them you will not listen to their station until Fred and Mrs. Fred Grandy return. America expects radio stations to be committed to free speech and the Truth. We expect WMAL to grow a backbone and stand up to CAIR and the other radicals. Call early and often. Then at 10 a.m. Wednesday, we will meet at WMALs studios, 4400 Jenifer St. NW, Washington, DC 20015 with signs to demonstrate our support for Fred Grandy and his wife and their courageous stand against radical Islam. WMAL Becomes Americas First Shariah-Compliant Radio Station No Criticism of Radical Islam and No Women.

Ms. Martin, are there any news stories written about this yet, that you know of (besides your report here)?
I’d like to do a write-up, even interview the Grandys if possible.
I am checking and only came across this from WMAL:
http://www.wmal.com/Article.asp?id=2124417
Pajamas Media also has an article
Thank you!
I saw that link to Pajamas Media, and it’s just a little blurb. I may do a column, but I’ll have to find a way to get more information. I realize there’s little chance of being able to get hold of Mr. Grandy for an interview.
You can also contact Jim Lafferty from VAST. He is a good person to talk to on this and might have more insight today. His number is: (703) 931-2324
Thanks a bunch, Ms. Martin!
This is a true and heartfelt: “wish I were there!”
I heard this yesterday and was wondering what my AM Morning Radio would be like this summer?????
Wait MAL is still calling the morning show “The Grandy Group”. Their website also still has a picture of Fred. They fired Michael Graham a couple of years ago for stepping on cairs toes. They also fired Chris Plante but brought him back because of public outcry.
630 WMAL/Chris Plante Ping List
Another frontal assault on Freedom of Speech by the ‘Religion of Perpetual Outrage’.
Fred Grandy has informed WMAL of his intention to resign from the station and its morning program, The Grandy Group. Veteran broadcast talent Bryan Nehman will continue to anchor the morning program and in the interim will be joined by several notable guest hosts and regular contributors. The stations morning show will also continue to provide the latest news, traffic and weather reports to its audience.
WMAL remains committed to its goal of providing a forum for discussing a broad spectrum of issues while delivering compelling programming including Chris Plante, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin.
I can’t listen live. I have to download the podcasts.
I went to download Friday’s show and it wasn’t there. Then I found out, this morning, that the show was cancelled and why. I sent the WMAL general manager an e-mail this morning.
This is outrageous!
Quite frankly, Bryan Nehman stinks.
I’ve never heard him...
Another thing that will get the station’s attention is an email to their advertisers, with a copy to the marketing manager of the station, telling them why you will: a.) no longer be patronizing them; b.) be telling ALL your friends, family, acquaintances, etc., not to patronize them; and c.) what they need to do to win you back. Generally the latter involves the company either pulling their advertising from the station or leaning on the station to reinstate Fred AND his wife. Don’t bother the programming manager. Send the copies of each and every email to the sales manager of the station. Use numbers (I have XXX family members who would otherwise use your services or buy in your store, etc., YYY friends and Z,ZZZ acquaintances, each of whom will tell everyone THEY know). It’s figured (by someone with too much time on their hands) that ONE pissed-off customer can cost a company over half/three-quarters of a million dollars in lost sales/potential sales. A few calls to the station by their customers might just do the trick, IF they’re the result of everyone you know going through ALL the station’s advertisers. You should get their full attention! Get organized. The moose-slimes and the Left are!!!
ALSO: Most important of all: If you win, PATRONIZE THE ADVERTISERS AND TELL THEM WHY!!! Tell the business owner, the manager, everyone in the place. Don’t EVER not follow through that way, or you’ll never, ever win another one!
Maryland PING!
