Jim went to the VA hospital this afternoon for his scheduled checkup.

They admitted him. His remaining leg is not looking good. Three surgeons will confer tomorrow morning
on whether and when his right leg will be amputated.

When I talked to him this afternoon, he consented to me asking for prayers regarding this latest health issue.

Years ago I had a patient in your exact situation. He wasn’t thrilled at the thought of a second amputation (who would be?), but he knew it had to be done.

Like you, he said he probably would be better off without it. He was right. After the surgery he looked and felt better than he had for years.

I hope the surgery is not needed, but if it is I pray for a quick recovery period.
