Iran objects to the logo for the 2012 London Olympics, contending it is racist because it resembles the word "Zion" and warning of a possible boycott of the games.
The secretary general of Iran's National Olympic Committee said Iran sent a letter to International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge. The letter claims the 2012 logo spells out "Zion," a biblical term widely recognized to refer to the city of Jerusalem.
In comments carried by the official IRNA news agency Monday, secretary general Bahram Afsharzadeh said the letter urges other Muslim states to oppose the "racist logo."

When it first came out some people saw a swastika in it.
It’s offensive because it’s butt ugly
1. Iran’s complaint is (as usual) stupid, but I do hope they will boycott just so we’re rid of them.
2. The logo is pretty stupid too. I could just as easily find “lion”, “loin”, “lols” or “lolz”, and many other things. Personally, I don’t see the point in this logo at all.
I had an image of mohammad getting it from a goat tatooed on my teabag. Gee, I wonder if that will upset the islamers?
It clearly says “2012”. It’s ugly, though.
I am willing to bet that if you take enough opium, it would spell out anything you want it to.

That must be written in persian or farsi or arabic for the determination to be Zion. what is with the colors pink and yellow. The Gay Olympic Gmes or what. maybe the Iranians are nore upset that color represents and the interprer get the words like the US Deparment did with RESET button.
all the British have to do is contact Staples and press the EASY and everything will be alright in the world. Unfortunately London will spend lots of money on the Olymics and the state of the world will cause a cancellation.
