Below is a statement from the office of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker:
Statement in Response to President Obamas Misunderstanding
Madison Today President Obama again weighed in against Governor Walkers proposal to balance the states budget deficit by having state government workers contribute a modest amount toward their own pensions and pay 12.6 percent toward their healthcare premiums.
In response to the Presidents comments, the Governors Press Secretary Cullen Werwie issued the following statement:
I'm sure the President knows that most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits while our plan allows it for base pay. And I'm sure the President knows that the average federal worker pays twice as much for health insurance as what we are asking for in Wisconsin. At least I would hope he knows these facts.

“Zer0 walked into the propeller blade on this one.”
Oh, were this only true.......
Obama said a lot of things and made a lot of promises when he was running, e.g.:

The teachers expected him to `walk the walk’; man, did they get schooled or what? Break the bat over him governor ...
My question is: What is Obama going to do to reduce the bloated salaries and benefits federal government workers get compared to private sector workers?
Well, President Obama? (If that is your legal name.)
No, it won’t.
First, it won’t be reported.
Second, the few of Obama’s supporters who do hear about it will simply figure that Gov. Walker is lying.
Third, those who believe him will use it as evidence that Federal workers are being oppressed.
Fourth, those who oppose Obama have plenty of evidence already that he doesn’t know or care what he’s talking about, so this won’t make any difference to him.
Mind you, I’m not HAPPY about any of the above ....
He wouldn’t be the first berry-picker to become a full-time cheesehead. Probably be a lot more in the near future (Walker v. Dayton).
Amen!
I love Gov. Walker he is a classy guy even when dealing with classless thugs.
berry-picker. Never heard that one before.
You can get an Amen and an Hallelujah too!! :)
Seems some folks on some of these threads think they know how everything is going to play out and have been armchair quarterbacking this brave man who is looking at the big picture while rolling up his sleeves to tackle inherited problems. He is the epitome of grace under pressure. Some may have have mistaken his politeness and calmness for weakness.
This is another instance where he shows he is not weak, he is not backing down. He is Regeanesque IMHO, and I say again: Let Walker be Walker :)
Ya say the $h!# hit the fan?
Go Walker !!!
Tell the Idiot-In Chief ....that HE IS AN IDIOT !!
I LOVE IT !!
I wonder if Gov. Walker will have his last 3 Federal tax returns suddenly come up for a compliance audit??
In boxing this would be a knock down for a 10 count. LOL.
You too?
They call us Minnesotans either mud ducks or berry pickers.
