Madison — Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs said Sunday night that protesters can remain inside the state Capitol.
"The people who are in the building will be allowed to stay,"Tubbs said. "There will be no arrests unless people violate the law."
Several hundred protesters refused to leave the building when the doors were shut at 4 p.m. as authorities attempted to get the state Capitol back to normal working hours.

The America we once knew is toast.
Time to reconvene someplace else more than 4 hours drive away. Become a moving legislature so that the entire state gets to meet the protester class.
However, that takes one more Democrat Senator to get that passed on a permanent basis.
I'd think that the so-called Capitol Police are going to be in some real trouble when the legislature doesn't pass an appropriations bill pretty soon.

MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man is facing two felony counts and up to 46 years in prison after being charged Wednesday in connection with an attempted armed robbery in the city of Madison.
Charles Tubbs Jr., 22, is accused of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun.
Charles Tubbs Jr. is the son of Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs.
The criminal complaint said Tubbs Jr. and another man were driving around Madison with the shotgun on Dec. 8 and had planned to rob a drug dealer when they crashed their vehicle at Monroe Street and Commonwealth Avenue.
Tubbs’ younger son, Collin, 19, is also facing charges in connection with a string of arsons in February.
Whatever else could one expect?
Unions and "rule of law" have forever been a disjoint set, logically. Get rid of one or get rid of the other, or you'll end up with the worst of your choices. Until the next revolution.

U Got that right. And this is where “Law Abiding” WI citizens will begin to loose faith in Walker. He can’t force the fleebaggers to come back and vote, but he can begin to start enforcing law and order. Something that he seems unwilling to do.
Selective enforcement doesn’t play well with good law abiding citizens.
Use of Capitol building as homeless shelter raises concerns

Madison - State Capitol police respond to dozens of incidents each month involving homeless people who spend their days in the landmark building.
Capitol police say the building is secure and the incidents involving the homeless aren’t that different from those involving the thousands of people who work in and visit the building each day. But some lawmakers believe the state should do a better job of helping those who seek shelter in the Capitol, rather than just housing them during the day and then shooing them out when the building closes.
In recent years, the marble landmark has become a shelter of sorts from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. because it’s a warm, dry place for the homeless to rest and socialize. Activity is the greatest in the winter months, when more people find respite there.
Rep. Richard Spanbauer (R-Oshkosh), a first-term lawmaker who was surprised to see how the homeless use the building, said he doesn’t believe it’s the Capitol police’s job to monitor them.
“Help the homeless, but let’s also protect the safety and welfare of those who do business in the Capitol,” Spanbauer said, adding he fears that unless things change, “something’s bound to happen.”
‘A very safe place’
But Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs said the department’s resources aren’t strained by the activity and that people should feel it’s a secure place to work or visit.
“It’s a very safe place,” Tubbs said. “If it was not, we’d be doing a different type of police techniques.”

If the teachers, cops and other worthless malcontents continue to rebel and act in this lawless way at the capital, then maybe a change of venue is in order to conduct the State’s legislative business.
I’m thinking that renting a hall at a fashionable hotel might work. Let the Hotel security deal with the trespassers. Maybe down at the local VFW? Resume their activities at a National Guard post?
Is there some place that is operated by pipe-benders who aren’t on good terms with the union and the police who would host this event?

I’m with you - in spirit at least. All afternoon I’ve been hoping to see national guardsmen with firehoses blasting those hippie commies out to the curb.
But as a practical manner, that would have lit a damn media firestorm, and we all know it. Tactically I’d rather see the focus remain on the Missing 14 Senators who are AWOL from duty than to see the MSM looping tape of protesters getting their asses handed to ‘em by That Mean Scott Walker Dude.
Get ‘em out and keep ‘em out. But don’t lose the war for the sake of winning one battle. Even though it’s one was should not even have to fight.
This is playing out very well. The important thing is to pass the bill. Actually, this noncompliance from those permanently immature hippies will only bolster Walker’s support. As a UW grad of the 80’s, believe me that Madison is a la-la land of immature idealists, and understand that that crap doesn’t play outside Madison. If you’re miffed, think of all the WI taxpayers who go to work every day hearing about those filthy pukes refusing to leave their Capitol. Yes, Walker gained.
Walker is the peacemaker in this scenario and the protestors are picking up the reputation of smelly hippies.
Most of the people in the state house are professional protestors and some of them are being paid to create a scene in which protestors are beaten and cuffed for national TV.
And Walker will have none of that going on.
It is starting to sound like conservatives need a “Take Back the Peoples’ House” drive and put hundreds of conservative demonstrators up against the leftists who seem to have moved in permanently. Governor Walker needs more help than he is getting and the media is showing the one sided demonstration day after day.
The teachers are going home because vacation's over. The remainders are college students and professional agitators.
They are not going to let any more in and they will run out of food and maybe some of them may have school or jobs to go to.
They don’t make anything...they are PUBLIC government union employees....:(
