Video Fun: A Liberal Teacher explains Union Busting (Don't let her near your kids!)

A liberal teacher tries to explain about the Wisconsin protests and when asked questions shows what progressives (liberals) are all about:

Liberal Teacher: "I can’t believe what is going on in Wisconsin."

Taxpayer: "What do you mean?"

Liberal Teacher: "That conservative extremist governor Walker is trying to break the unions in Wisconsin."

Taxpayer: "He is?"

Liberal Teacher: "Yes, look at the mess he created in Wisconsin. The public schools are closed. The state is not passing any bills."

Taxpayer: "Didn’t the Democrat senators flee to other states to block a vote? Didn’t the public teachers walk off their jobs while still being paid to teach? Aren't they forcing the governor to lay off teachers?"

Liberal Teacher: "They were forced to do that. That Republican extremist Walker is trying to destroy the middle class and they had to take a stand."

Taxpayer: "Didn’t the teachers unions demand that taxpayers pay for 100 per cent of their retirement and 100 per cent of their health care while the middle class has to work till 90 to pay for it?"

Liberal Teacher: "The unions are fighting for the middle class"

Taxpayer: "By demanding more money from the middle class for themselves?"

RE: “I find that repeatedly bringing them back to the original argument ends the confrontation quicker. They will scream a nasty epithet and then depart.

Sounds easy but they will stop you and repeat “wait, listen...” over and over so they can launch huge payloads of unrelated attacks from all directions.

The most frequently used is that Obama only had two years (2009-2010) and the mess he inherited from Bush's 8 years is so bad it will take him generations to fix, but he is doing all the right things, all the real experts say so. And of course you cant absolutely prove that any long term action, even running up 10s of trillions of debt, is bad for the long term until it is too late.

At this stage I turn off the brain cells and go Hannity and say :"Obama had the congress since 2007. Look at the great economy he inherited from Republicans then and how bad they made it since". Yes, it's a bit silly too but it all they are worth.

This is the mindset of a liberal. They simply make no sense and can never defend their position. I don’t argue with them anymore. It’s a waste of time.

Yes, 100% agreement. I've had many arguments with liberals and it has dawned upon me that we are using a different set of logical rules. Or better stated, they have no logical rules. Their views are completely illogical. In a normal world if A>B and B>C then A must be greater than C. But not in their world. When you back them into a corner, they will simply deny the plain truth. It's almost a slavish devotion to their cause.

This is why it's so important to get our kids away from them so they cannot be indoctrinated in the elementary, middle, high schools and college and university campuses. It they cannot indoctrinate them at an early age, they don't have as good a chance after they are adults.

RE: “Yes, this is what it is like talking to liberals here on the east coast.”

********************

Yep! Same here on west coast — a leftist east coast cousin and a long-time ‘friend’ are both scandalized and practically demanding I (and others) retract right-thinking opinions from Facebook and other sites. They know NOTHING about what is really going on in this country, totally mischaracterize tea party events, and are feeling the pain of the poor put-upon WI teachers and unionistas and everything else one could call ‘liberal.’

I have simply stopped responding to their ridiculous posts and e-mails. Where is Ann Coulter’s book when one needs it? (How to Talk to a Liberal...If you Must!)

You claim: 5% of all teachers have sexually molested a child.

And your own source contradicts you, even though it's a leftist one.

What are you trying to pull?

Re: “A post on FB, when I had an account, stated how stupid Michelle Bachman is. I posted:

Liberal: Bachman is stupid.

Me: Why do you say that?

Liberal: ‘Cause she is.

Me: What did she say that was stupid?”

Liberal: Everything.

Me: Give me an example.

Liberal: I can’t.

Me: Why not?

Liberal: ‘Cause I never listen to her.

Me: Why don’t you listen to her?

Liberal: ‘Cause she’s stupid.

Yes! That’s it — Palin and Bachmann are stupid and dangerous and violent. Did you know that? Violent?? Tea partiers are a vile, hate-filled, racist group who carry their guns with them to all events and call FLOTUS “Moochelle.” Oh, the horror!!!

We are dangerous and stupid, too. Oh, and also insane..............

Hey, call me anything you like, fools — and then explain that last election!!! Seems there are a whole heckuva lot of dangerous and stupid voters out there, eh?

RE: “That’s what I’ve done. I cancelled FB and there are several relatives I no longer have anything to do with. I don’t have much time left on this earth and I don’t plan on spending it on idiots.”

*************

I went another route — enjoy Facebook and shifted from liberal so-called friends/relatives who were going insane over my posts and ‘likes’ and simply unfriended THEM, telling them I did not wish to be the cause of their unhappiness.

There are so many groups on FB and many new ‘friends’ have come from that. Some of us here in L.A. have even met each other in person at tea party type events over the past year or so. It’s never too late to find new ‘friends.’

BS the Catholic church has been protecting molesters for decades. No reason to believe it doesn’t go on in their schools.

“No type of school was immune to abuse: public or private, religious or secular, rich or poor, urban or rural.”

Maybe you should read your own source before you slander people.

Wow, you have a lot of staying power.

They need to quietly, but firmly be brought back to the original discussion. Point out that red herrings and other logical fallacies notwithstanding, they haven’t spoken to the original question. They can’t stand being cornered. If they had a reply to your original argument, they would have used it. You don’t have to accept their unordered load of sidetracks. Tell ‘em to back up the truck, delivery refused:)

I, too, agree — libs are not similar to us in their thought processes. Over the years I have found that for the most part, the most rabid ‘liberals’ — the ones who rail on and refuse to hold civil discourse are the ones who are the biggest (what I consider) ‘failures’ in life -— those who were always broke, could not save or handle money, were highly emotional and theatrical, etc. These people TO A PERSON never had one ounce of common sense. They tend to be a very narcissistic and rather troubled group. Some are very jealous, envious and petty, etc.

Some of them were indoctrinated in the schools and others have just gone along with their family’s views over time.

One very unhappy and pathetic case has taken on her boyfriend’s views as he controls everything about her life — including what she watches on television. She must twist herself into a pretzel in order to get along with the guy but because she is so desperate for a man, and needs a place to live because she can’t support herself despite having a decent salary, she claims she loves it all and everything is perfect, despite much evidence to the contrary.

I don’t need people like this in my life and I’m sure many of you can cite similar stories. Decided awhile back to just cut all ties and stop the foolishness.

Seen that, only it was a guy. His wife turned him from a nice, mildly conservative though weak-willed Christian to a rabidly leftist atheist. Moral of this story, be sure you're emotionally sound enough to stand by what your believe and marry someone who has the same values you do.

Sometimes, a picture says a thousand words:  a screen capture from one of the innumerable videos of union members engaging in, or threatening, violence:

unions: the new face of fascism

(take a copy now if you want; photobucket will almost certainly censor it sooner rather than later)

I cancelled FB

First, good move for you!

Second, how did you manage to do that?

I have tried everything to cancel my FB account with no luck. I finally told them that I had died and I swear they held a memorial service with all my former "friends" (most of whom I didn't know to start with!). Classmates.com is another of these STDs that is next to impossible to leave.

Regards,
GtG

PS I'm still getting e-mail from both of them. I've set filters to dump them directly into the trash but it still annoys me.

It showed on the CNBC program FACEBOOK OBSESSION how hard they make it to cancel. I simply signed out. It did take a few steps of “Are you sure you want to do this” crap. It showed one woman that it took 4 hours to cancel her account because she had to cancel her photos one at a time. I only had 3 pictures in my profile so it was easier. The definitely make it hard.

It’s even easier. I just hide all posts from friends who’s posts annoy me. I only hide since virtually all my friends are members of my extended family and I don’t want the confrontation. Even my son’s ex girlfriend. I don’t want to give her the satisfaction of knowing I’m cutting her off. Does that make sense?

Another method of ending the discussion,
and bringing upon yourself heaps of epithets in the process,

is to demand that they define the terms that they are using.

When you do that, it requires them to think deeper than their feelings and talking points, and it makes them very angry.
