By choosing to pander to their public sector union supporters and financiers rather than serve the hard working taxpayers of Wisconsin, the 14 Democrat Senators who are cowering in the Peoples Republic of Illinois will bear the responsibility for $165 million in additional debt service costs. Lost amid the well organized protests in Madison and dwarfed by rumors of crippling strikes in the wake of meaningful fiscal reform is todays deadline for debt restructuring.
The obstructionist Democrat Senators disgraceful action will now be paid for by the people of Wisconsin.

They have been sleeping on the floor of our statehouse and eating pizza supplied by the unions.
That headline is grammatically incorrect. That’s surprising since it’s The American Thinker.
Misplaced apostrophe alert!
That ought to be: “Democrat Senators’ absence to cost Wisconsin $165 Million”.
Because it takes 20 senators for a quorum, only one “senator's” absence is causing the $165 million delay. If one Dem senator shows up, the government goes back to work. I happen to think that putting the heat on a single senator is probably the best tactic at this point. I'm not saying that was the intention of the author, but your criticism isn't completely factual, either, FRiend.
Apparently not! One could guess maybe they are terrified of the union?? Either way I have taken to calling them Cartman Democrats. If anyone here watches, or ever has watched South Park you will get the significance.
It isn’t inaccurate, though. If one Dem senator returns, the Senate is back in business. I’d try to pin the blame on the most vulnerable Dem senator.
ahahaha
She identifies with them because Maine, like Wisconsin, threw to Rats out and put in a Republican Gov't, House and Senate.
those dems had had the rule for so long, they simply can't fathom anyone else has any rights.
Our new gov. is kicking ass - and yes, I said 'ass' - that's what HE said to the NAACP when they tried to intimidate him into attending a NAACP affair and when he declined as he already had a commitment, they called him 'racist." (Of course.)
He told them: "Kiss my ass."
Wrong one to call racist. He and his wife took into their family and schooled a young man from Jamaica some years ago - and have seen him through college - now almost got his doctorate.
He is in their family photos and they consider him a son. - Oh, did I forget? He's black.
I understand he won't allow their pay checks to be sent or deposited...but they must come the state house if they want them.
That was the first week.
Now it's time to, as you say, pink slip them, cut off pay altogether and recall the ones who've been in long enough for that process.
Then he needs to wholesale fire any teachers/workers that don't show up for work. There are plenty of teachers out of work that would love a job and plenty who love to teach free of the union.
We know this is a stuggle for far more than wha't on the surface - this is the battle for our country and out freedoms.
the democrats are at a 22-yr low - only 2% more than republicans. Independents outnumber each ..and more independents now lean republican.
Without the forced Union dues - (bummer got 400 million from the unions (acutally extroted from a lot of people who don't vote dem) for his campaign) they are done and powerless.
Bill them for it.
This will make your blood boil - and give you a good window to the brain dead people we are up against.
This couple finally got hold of some gal that was apparently in charge of keeping order in the capitol...who said it WOULD be taken down.
I sent the Governor a letter. I let him know that socialism is dead in America.
Paint a higher $ection red every time the union-generated co$t to the taxed-payer$ goe$ up another million dollar$.
That $hould get $ome $eriou$ attention, e$pecially if it'$ $hown on TV every $ingle night.
One picture i$ worth a thou$and word$.

I mean--why should any representative of the people have to be present to discuss and debate issues when they can accomplish their objectives by being NOT THERE--and get paid to boot?
Great Idea! Taken from United Pay, er, I mean United Way.
What is the name of the Maine legislator who joined the “protestors” in Wisconsin?
I’m in Maine too....and I’m thrilled with our new TEA Party governor, Paul LePage.
Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi was on TV and he was angry and defiant. Then he went off the air and no one has seen him since kind of like Keith Olbermann.
Jay Leno
I think he'll be proved to be better than Chris Christie - he's 100% pure Conservative.
He's 'been there" = he knows what it's like to struggle against the worst of odds - and still make it, because THIS is AMERICA - and the opportunities are there - IF you are willing to pull on those boot straps.
I think he has been firmly but quietly saying this for over a week. That is what the 1500 state layoff plan is about , If I understand this correctly.
