MADISON Wisconsin Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs today announced that the Wisconsin State Capitol will return to normal business hours on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. when it will close to allow for cleaning. The Capitol will re-open on Monday for its normal business hours starting at 8:00 a.m. As has been done all this week, Capitol Police will be monitoring the number of people in the building. Capitol Police officials have spoken with and worked closely with the organizers of protest groups at the Capitol, who have agreed to voluntarily remove their items from the building.
Don't forget that the cops belong to a union too.
I've been a fan of Calvin Coolidge since reading Paul Johnson's appraisal of him in Modern Times. I learned from Glenn Beck this week that one of his accomplishments leading to his election as president was his breaking of the Massachusetts police union in 1919.
There's a reason why the Left hats "silent Cal."
I've lived in Massachusetts my whole life and didn't know that Coolidge was a governor of Massachusetts. It's a well-kept secret.
The good Governor should reply by saying to this union puke: I have two words to say to you, one is a verb and the other a pronoun.
That comes as a surprise to me, too.
On the contrary. The posters all over the walls are being held by different tapes like duct tape and more that the chemicals will etch into the surface and marr them. We may have one costly restoration bill from that alone.
“Don’t forget that the cops belong to a union too.”
Take a look at Big Bob’s post at #36. It is the Police Union’s response to this ‘request’.
i read he liberal wisconsin State Journal that the protestors on Sunday state that they will have to hauled out in their sleeping bags by the police, because they state they will refuse to leave.
The fact of that matter is that Wisconsins law enforcement community opposes Governor Walkers effort to eliminate most union activity in this state, and we implore him to not do anything to increase the risk to officers and the public.Disgusting. We have to pick our battles, but the police and firefighters shouldn't be unionized either. Are soldiers?
I hope they have to be pulled out kicking and screaming. Should make for some unappetizing publicity for the thugs and thugettes. And the entertainment value will be a bonus.
It can happen but it takes a REALLY long time. (Although, I hear it comes out extra tender.)
Lice are obligate ectoparasites, i.e. they live on the
host. Bedbugs are not, they live in the housing. Unpleasant
thought.
I live in the wrong state to be reading about this. I
will say no more.
Good point, and bed bugs are big problem these days. I can’t see how they are going to be able to clean that place in about 12 hours.
