I love how the AP writer tags the word "rights" on collective bargaining. Also, this is classic: Republicans in the Wisconsin Assembly took the first significant action on their plan to strip collective bargaining rights from most public workers, abruptly passing the measure early Friday morning before sleep-deprived Democrats realized what was happening. I love it when these writers provide handy excuses for Dems.

Notice how they do this. The Republican’s plan to strip rights from workers. That’s the basic sentence. They reduce the important words to mere adjectives and adverbs. AP writers do this with abortion issues, too.
