While things are falling apart in other parts of the world, things at the White House are busy too busy to notice.
During Wednesdays White House press briefing, newly minted Press Secretary Jay Carney responded to a question from CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller about when people might expect to hear President Barack Obama address the situation in Libya. Carneys reason why they havent yet: Scheduling. (h/t Real Clear Politics Video)
This is just a scheduling issue, Carney said. As I said, the president will meet with Secretary of State [Hillary] Clinton this afternoon, his regular meeting and they will obviously discuss Libya. We will have something to say out of that meeting and if possible, the president will speak this afternoon or tomorrow.

The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Yeah. George Soros couldn't find time to squeeze a "here's how you handle this, Barack" session into his schedule.
Poll results require time to gather and analyze.
After all NON-LEADERS need the results to know where they stand.
Oh yeah, RIGHT. Does anyone believe THAT? Scheduling conflict my arse. Barry just isn’t going to interrupt his icecream for anything.
This guy is starting to make Gibbesy look like a smart insider... thats scary!
He has to meet with the puppet masters to be told what to say. Right now they’re pretty busy with Rahm in Chicago.
What has our boy said, if anything, on the killing of the four US Citizens by those Somali a - - holes?
I recall him jumping to the microphone real fast after the shooting incident in AZ. Don’t these citizens count as much as a U.S. Congressman?
numnuts is speachless.
About the most Zer0 can do is evacuate the US folks and invite the MB to come meet with him in the dhimini House.
It would be embarrassing for Obama to admit that he supports a dictator who just murdered 1,000 of his own people, so he’ll just offer his best wishes in private.
Major BS!!!!
This wins the White House Lame Excuse Award of the week. Except the week isn’t over.
Scheduling sure didn’t effect a prompt reaction to Wisconsin.

Its a little perplexing looking at the White House today. There was a statement on the horrible earthquake in New Zealand, and certainly our hearts go out to all those affected by this horrible natural disaster. But nothing on the slaughter in Libya? The protests in many places in the Middle East affect regimes that have cooperated with the U.S. on issues from peace with Israel, fighting al Qaeda, hosting our military forces, or cooperating against Irans nuclear ambitions. Gaddafis Libya is different. For four decades, this tyrant has held power. Gaddafi was Osama before Osama hit the scene. He ordered the bombing of a disco in Germany to kill Americans. When he paid the price for that after President Reagan rightly ordered retaliation he directed his agents to blow up Pan Am Flight 103. They did, and more than 250 innocent people died. Gaddafi tried to come in from the cold in 2003 scared by the demonstration effect of Iraq. But we should have no illusions. Gaddafi is a brutal killer and Libya not to mention the world would be better off if he were out of power. Now is the time to speak out. Speak out for the long-suffering Libyan people. Speak out for the victims of Gaddafis terror. NATO and our allies should look at establishing a no-fly zone so Libyan air forces cannot continue slaughtering the Libyan people. We should not be afraid of freedom, especially when it comes to people suffering under a brutal enemy of America. Heres to freedom from Gaddafi for the people of Libya. - Sarah Palin

There was an emergency meeting on Libya, today, in the UN and our Ambassador, Susan Rice didn’t attend. She jetted off to South Africa for a “global sustainability” conference. This sent a negative signal to our allies. The Middle East is on fire and our top diplomat is studying global sustainability. Our foreign policy bench is the weakest it’s been since Carter. These people are clueless.
Waiting on the teleprompter repairman.
Mubarak was a moderate and not a reall hard core Islamist plus they have little oil.
Kadaffy is more a pan Islamist/Arab and more hardline plus he has a lot of oil. Obama was on BP’s payroll. BP and the Labour Party in the uK got the Lockerbie bomber out.
The SCUM newsmedia, I nuked TV, but I heard on the radio the bias. Mubarak had to go but Kahdaffy gamely is hanging on. The media had cameras and was 100% behind Egyptians aka Muslim Bortherhood but they are trying to save Kahdaffy. Hussein is also trying to save him.
Hussein’s pals the Saudi who own major sharholdings in US TV are terrified. If Bahrain falls - the Saudis are next.
Why?
zero’s MO is wait until events unfold and then take credit for them
