Wow, I’m surprised at the vitriol against Glen Beck on this thread. I can understand not watching him nor listening to him, but he has been an amazing voice to get out the Tea Party people. As for his advice.....well I was years ahead of him, you might not like it but you’d be foolish to ignore it completely.....
Why don’t you post this in General Chat where it belongs JA.
...moving on.
You are as bad as the liberals that impart what THEY THINK is on the minds of Rush listeners. You don’t watch so you think you are better than the people that do.
“Hes at the cusp of needing to just say batshit insane things in order to keep feeding the audience who needs more and more outrageous stuff.”
So you, a thoughtful, conservative, think that everyone that watches beck is someone who needs more outrageous stuff... You’re as bad as any slimeball liberal that I’ve ever heard attacking audiences of FOX, Rush, Levin, etc...
Go back to Demorat underground and spout your drivel!
What was it that Will Durant had to say about civilizations?
The Islamic conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precious good, whose delicate complex order and freedom can at any moment be overthrown by barbarians invading from without and multiplying from within. We've allowed the barbarians within to proliferate and poison the well of freedom. There's a butchers bill due for that, payble in blood.
--Will Durant, The Story of Civilization: Our Oriental Heritage (page 459) - 1935
I completely understand this. I don't watch him every day either, but I watch him a lot. I seldom listen to his radio show. I'm trying to be fair in my assessment.
At some point he must have made a conscious decision to abandon "show business" on his TV show and just make it an advanced college course on some of the darkest and most critical elements of national and world politics, specifically the politics of the left.
He breaks all the rules of maintaining an audience, he never breaks the tension with humor, he never really lightens up. At times you feel like you just want to blow your own brains out because you don't know what to do, it's all so overwhelming.
But he is right on the vast majority of things (not everything.) His research is phenomenal, and is light years beyond what I was able to learn first hand decades ago (of course) but he and I have come to basically the same conclusions.
These people are deadly serious, dedicated, organized, funded and will NEVER give up. Our advantage is that we outnumber them and we are in the right. Our disadvantage is that we don't believe they are as evil as they really are, and we are unorganized relative to their multi-decade push for control of this country.
We have a lot of learning to do and a lot of work ahead to take this country back or we risk losing it forever.
If unspooling is to terrifying for you, don’t watch it. He has pegged what is going on.
If that offends your sensitivites, then too damn bad.
ROFL!
Thanks for patiently tutoring an ol’ redneck who speaks fluent “sub-urban” and a little “rural” but no “urban”.
He’s very passionate, but he makes a lot of mistakes. In part that’s because he’s learning all the time. He himself admits he never read a book in the decades before 9/11/2001. It’s hard to make up for a lifetime of ignorance in 9 years, especially when it’s your job to talk for 4 hours a day, like you know everything.
He has guests on who fundamentailly disagree with each other, and he will agree with both. At times he’s a libertarian/Austrian school guy. Then he flips back to being a CNBC / mainstream conservative on financial issues.
At times he’s interviewing revisionist Historians who hold Lincoln a notch above the devil, the next week he’s back to praising him.
His main effort was both self-aggrandizing and massively defocusing to the organic TEA Party movement. The TEA Party movement had a wonderful focus on the most unifying theme possible for conservatives: Taxed Enough Already. The Liberal-built government is too damn big and needs to be taken down to size. Into this he injected his quasi-religion 9/12er mumbo jumbo, where we all supposed to go tot DC and “restore honor”.
He made us all do penance for “racism” one more time. It turns out the thing we have do to save America is bow down to the memory of MLK, and find obscure black patriots from the Revolutionary era and raise them up to a level equal with Jefferson and Washington.
He’s not merely race-blind, he’s an active supporter of the current anti-White liberal zeitgeist.
For all these reasons he is no longer someone I have much interest in hearing from. Certainly his heart is in the right place, but his ego and influence have so overgrown his real wisdom, knowledge and ability that it’s like watching a man who can’t swim in the deep end every time I turn him on.
We need real leadership in our movement. He is definately NOT the man to provide it.
Where can I order my Life-lock Gold-line Magic underpants?
Don’t gag on your own potatoes. Wouldn’t want you to be speechless.
Best get prepared for the worst sweetheart, you are going to get it. The fact you fail to see that is ...well failure to pay attention.
Forget the life you have always known. In the next few years your mind will be blown. Look out for your kids, they are going to see the worst.

There are a group of folks who really don’t like Beck. I believe many of them are Levin listeners. Levin criticizes Beck a lot. I’ve never seen Beck criticize any fellow conservative talkers.
is there a working link to watch FOX on the internet?
One good turn deserves another. I have always loved your handle; it’s given me more than one chuckle. ;)
Right. He is such a drama queen. I’d like to see a show on the end of the world with Glenn beck, geraldo and shep.
That is what bothered me. Beck can be so right and informative about current events and then discredits himself by trying to make his mormonism "normative".
We need someone to lead, like Beck is doing, but from a Judeo-Christian background.
I think it is OK to mention meeting Billy Graham as the man is not getting any younger and I even remember as a very young kid my grandparents watching his revivals on television.
I DVR Glen everyday but don’t watch everyday because sometimes like others say it is depressing. But I’d rather hear him than those idiots on the alphabet channels.
