I started listening to him on the radio. Entertaining and frightening at the same time.
In a way, yes. Many have the wealth to protect them and, if you'd read my entire post, you'd see what I meant. They are not afraid because they don't think that the U.S. is in any real trouble. The price of daily commodities and consumables doesn't affect them. They think that the all this "trouble" will go away and they will be able to go on as if nothing happened.
Who cares about that? The point is that he's doing research and connecting dots that some folks don't want to see connected. Most of us haven't lived through a real depression, although my parents did. Most of us have no idea what's coming at us. And most of us are utterly, unprepared. The Mormons, for reasons of their own, have one of the best programs for self-reliance and prep. Commons sense and a aven a smattering or history says that it's the smart thing to do.
Those of us who have been paying attention have a larger duty, as I see it. And that's to live through this so that we can destroy our enemies and build a new American Republic. Because this one's on the road to hell. We need talent, hands and minds to teach, to build and to restore.

In other words...He’s flipping out because these idiots in the white house are sealing our doom.
Beck has become...weird. It’s as if he has so much to say, so many thoughts, so many ominous links, and he is adding them all up as if there is one giant conspiracy afoot. It’s become just an odd jumble of strangeness.
Much of what Beck says is exactly right. Many of the connections he makes are obviously researched and true. But the idea that everything is linked, that controlling this whole thing is some sort of Islamo-Communist conspiracy is just hard to believe.
Beck is making a major mistake linking union protesters in Wisconsin, Ohio and elsewhere to what is happening in Africa and the Middle East. That is EXACTLY the association the union thugs and their democratic errand boys want the public to make. People are most supportive of these African/Middle Eastern revolutions, and the unions/Democrats are trying to get that to rub of on them - and it IS working. Sadly, Beck is actually helping the left with his approach on this.
To be fair, while I don’t think all this is linked in some kind of massive conspiracy, it is clear the American unions and left are now emboldened, seem to be enjoying public support and may succeed in blunting Republican efforts to reign in spending and out of control public employee unions. Should this actually happen, American will definitely continue sinking in debt and march onward towards decline.
I guess I’d say the serious problems Beck envisions for America may be coming, but not for the reasons he seems to think. Worse, he is doing nothing to help salvage the situation and stave off disaster.
