(Gov) Mitch Daniels: Indiana Republicans Should Drop the Right to Work Bill

Mitch Daniels: Indiana Republicans Should Drop the Right to Work Bill

Color me extremely disappointed with Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels right now:

Gov. Mitch Daniels signaled this afternoon that Republicans should to drop the right-to-work bill that has brought the Indiana House to a standstill for two days and imperiled other measures.

Daniels told reporters this afternoon that he expects House Democrats will return to work if the bill dies. It would be unfortunate if other bills are caught up in the turmoil, he said.

He will not send out state police to corral the Democrats, the Republican governor said. The Democrat minority has right to express its views, he added.

The governor clung to his view that this is not the year to tackle right to work.

Okay Mitch, if you said that you might as well find a job in the private sector.

Adios in 2012.

We’re really lucky that Mitch Daniels just showed what a lily-livered pushover he is and weeded himself out early in the Republican Presidential primary.

Newt did himself in by pandering to the ethanol lobby, and now Daniels caves a microsecond after the going gets tough.

Daniels lost me and a lot of conservatives with his truce on social issues. His weak knees on the Democrats hiding out and on not supporting right to work seals the deal that he can’t be the GOP nominee for president.

The ba%tard. The cowardly ba%tard. I don’t know if he even had a shot at being the GOP nominee- but this just finished him. Over, done, finis.

THIS Mitch Daniels ?????

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitch_Daniels

on his first day in office, he decertified all government employee unions, removing the requirement that State employees be union members; and, within eight months, 92% of government union members quit their union.[22]

I think he actually is trying to appear presidential.

As I've pointed out in another thread, Daniels is asserting his authority over the Indiana House GOP. Mitch asked the House leadership not to bring the bill to the floor until the remainder of his agenda was passed. The House leadership didn't do that, so he's hanging them out to dry.

Maybe Daniels can run for Senator from Arizona next year?

He'd fit right in.

Without Daniel’s support, this bill is dead in Indiana.

In order to defeat these union thugs and their Democratic errand boys, we need all Republicans in the fight together. Daniels has effectively surrendered this fight, and done tremendous damage to Republican efforts to take on unions in Wisconsin and Ohio.

With polls showing the public is still confused and falling for the whining teacher routine yet again, this fight has just gotten a LOT harder.

I think that’s why the Dems are fleeing to states with sympathetic Dem governors. A Republican gov might order his SP to round them up and return them to their SP counterparts waiting at the border.

Good! The sorting starts. This RINO fool missed the sort. Just what kind of ball=less, leaderless response is his? What a putz! I bet he had tea with that lugar loser this afternoon.

Over 97% of union political donations are to Rats. Of the top 20 all time political donators, 12 are unions who have given hundreds of millions of dollars to Rats. The unions are noting but Rat money machines.
