Madison The head of the largest state workers union said Friday that his group is willing to give in to Gov. Scott Walker's demand for concessions on their benefits if the governor gives up his bid to repeal nearly all bargaining rights for public worker unions.

Allow me to translate:
Don’t take away any union officials’ power and we’ll let you take away union members’ benefits. Deal?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bleepin’ way.........and fire the teachers too!
Governor, stand firm and break the Public Service Unions, especially the teacher unions!!! And....folks, get your butts in gear tonight, all over the country, and swamp the Governor’s e-mail: (govgeneral@wisconsin.gov) site with words of support and appreciation from the bottom of your hearts. This man, Governor Walker, is a Republican, yes, but first he is an American, a true patriot from head to toe!!! Support him, thank him, and have God, Almighty bless and keep him!!! Governor, Phone - (608) 266-1212 Folks, get in gear and send thousands of messages to this profile in courage!!! Do it right now!!! I have!!!
Okay, has anyone said it yet?
PALIN/WALKER 2012!
WALKER/PALIN 2012!
(joke)
One of the things that the governor is trying to avoid is teacher layoffs. Fire every single teacher that ‘called in sick’ to attend these demonstrations. No layoffs needed.
Looks like the rat senators abandoned their jobs as well. Appoint new ones.
Fire them all!
Works for me. Republicans who actually do something. I'm still in shock.
You forgot:
The state will no longer collect union dues. The unions will have to invoice the members.
Unions will stand for recertification yearly.
I've been waiting for the usual Republican cave-in, but after just having heard Walker speak, I am convinced that he will win this for us. He was clear, confidant, and forceful. See if you can find his press conference on youtube. It's worth seeing.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around a conservative victory against teacher unions.
Did it. BTTT!
The way I see things, they're not in a position to negotiate. So screw them.
I think that is “Mary” Bell... :)
Not no but h*ll no! Walker’s bill IS a concession. These sniveling union losers are STILL on defined benefit pensions instead of defined contribution like those in the real world. That state doesn’t have the money to pay for that either.
No state does.
If Walker gives in he loses. He must stand fast.
No deal union punk....next !
Believe it or not, there is a Mary Bell (head of the teachers’ union) and a Marty Biell (head of AFSCME).
You are gonna be a good little cheesehead before this is over:)
I had no idea. Wow.
So, chickadee, are you in WI? If so, am I right in assuming the general public thinks these people are being major league a-holes?
Add-
* Cut Union dues in half to help the workers!
The Union just rolled on the workers.
The only concern a Union has is revenue.
The governor should not negotiate. Instead, his counter offer should be that the unions immediately cease their disruption, or the next bill he recommends to the State legislature will be to turn Wisconsin into a Right-to-Work State.
If such a bill is passed, then every union employer in the State will consider no longer hiring union members.
Could be.
Or, could be he's seeing the writing on the wall and wants to suppress the public's (Tea Party) interest.
Walking off the job will be the biggest mistake they ever made.
Walker has told them NO DEAL based on their request. Good for you Walker.
