Iran Warships Cancel Request To Cross Suez Canal

CAIRO — A senior Suez Canal official says two Iranian warships have withdrawn their application to transit the waterway following expressions of concern by Israel over the plans.
The official said no reason was given for Thursday's decision to withdraw the application. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, also said it was not known if the vessels intended to transit the waterway at a later date.

They ought to call the commanders of the vessels “The Best Tuna” because they are chicken of the sea. They knew darn well once they got out to open waters off the coast of Israel, their vessel would become a barrier reef for coral.

They were going to Syria—only the Jews told them they would be too close to Israeli territory.
Any warship that belongs to an enemy of Israel can still go to Syria only not through the canal.
Guess the Iranian sailors will have to ‘round the Horn and then enter the Med through Gibraltar on their way to Syria.
Remember the USS Liberty in 1967? Even America isn't allowed to get too close to Israel without their permission.

Don’t worry, the mullahs & a few Israeli officials are good friends, have been for yrs.
Maybe Israel should be mindful of buying oil from Iran thru 3rd parties, if Israel is really concerned about an Iranian attack.

Long trip. Lots of things can happen on such a lengthy voyage. Pirates, rogue waves from the meeting Atlantic and Indian Ocean currents, etc.....
Yep....lots of reasons for "accidents" in that trip.
