I’ve been pregnant 11 times. Never noticed that it caused me to lose weight ...
Yo, if you don’t eat, period, eventually you’ll get very skinny. Then you’ll die. Haven’t you seen the prisoner-of-war camp movies?
BMFL
I picked up some liquid HGC at GNC a few weeks ago. Not sure if it is the HGC or the 40 gallons of water they suggest you drink, but I have lost 10 lbs.
I was told earlier this week, that I could IMMEDIATELY take FIVE years off my age........ by simply leaving off the B.C. part...
Not to be disrespectful, but the concentration camps of Europe and the Bataan Death March proved that denying the body adequate food and nutrition can definitely drop the body weight by perhaps even more than a pound a day.
Well duh !
You have to drop to 500 calories a day while on it.
There’s a sucker born every minute.
I went on this diet back in August 2010. Before the Hcg diet, I lost 22 pounds the old fashion way by exercise and balanced meals in the previous 8 weeks. I needed to lose an additional 20 pounds. So my friend introduced this diet to me. She said it is fast and easy, that should have been a clue. Nothing worthwhile is fast and easy.
Does it work? Yes and No. Let me explain...
I did lose the twenty pounds in about thirty days, but it was draining and very restrictive. You consume 500 calories a day, combined with the Hcg drops. However, once you go into maintenance, you must weight yourself every single morning and should you bounce up by more than 2 pounds even by an ounce, you must do a “steak day”. This was ok, but after awhile, all I wanted to do was go back to my counting calories and exercising where I did not feel a slave to the damn scale.
About a month ago, my husband researched some double blind studies where people who thought they were taking Hcg, but were really on a placebo LOST the SAME AMOUNT of weight.
You see, all this diet does is put your body into a Ketosis state and you end up burning the fat and this state also reduces one’s appetite. You have limited carbs and limited calories and Hcg no Hcg, the weight will come off.
The reason I think it ultimately doesn't work is that unless you change your eating and exercise habits to healthy levels, you will continue to have weight issues. My husband called it the “concentration camp” diet because of the small number of calories.
I am currently at a healthy weight, but I eat a balanced diet combined with daily exercise. Remember there are no free rides to a healthy body.
You have to drink pee?
HCG raises T levels in men, it is used to simulate luteinizing hormones which tell the testes to produce more T.
I don’t know what happens for women but I know without a doubt nothing works better for weight control than a good diet and exercise.
I have a physician friend who went on this diet. It has bben several months and I can not tell he has lost a pound but I do know he has lost alot of money. Silly.
eat healthy and you will be thin
Actually I have lost that much weight in the last month on the 17 day diet program.
I would have lost more except for a feast fit for Caligula laid out by my mother for her Super bowl party. I gained six pounds in one night and had to re-lose it to get back on track. if you add the weight I gained and lost again I did lose a pound a day.
Or you could just take 1/2 your food and give it to some baby.
Interesting !
This must be the fad diet that is turning most of Hollywood into skeletor freaks. They can say what they want but I’d almost guarantee that these type of diets is what killed Brittany Murphy. She looked like a pipe cleaner doll before she died.
I’m not pregnant, I’m just fat!
Tell my deceased mother that who died at the age of 54 after years of diet drugs.
It worked for me, I am 6’3 and I was 300lbs on Nov 15, 2010 on Jan 1 , 2011 I was 250lbs. The main thing the diet did for me me was help me realize I need to re-think the way I eat and the amount of food I eat. I did find the diet somewhat boring but, my BP dropped over 30pts no drugs, I do not crave sweets any longer, I eat a lot more vegatables and fruits. I eat a lot less breads, I have basically cut out all High Fructose Corn syrup and sugar out as I have learned to season my food instead of drowning it in some sauce. I have been off of HCG and the diet for over a month and have maintained my 250, because I can NOW do 45min of cardio where at 300lbs I was not able to. So for me it has worked, and I am going to do another cycle of it in two more weeks. I am looking at a target weight of around 210.
