Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) , a conservative libertarian group founded in 1960 at the estate of William F. Buckley, expelled Rep. Ron Paul, Texas Republican, from their advisory board on Saturday. The organization released the following statement on Saturday afternoon:
The National Board of Young Americans for Freedom (YAF)America's oldest conservative-libertarian activist grouphas, per curium, voted to purge Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) from YAFs National Advisory Board.
YAFs concern with Rep. Paul stems from his delusional and disturbing alliance with the fringe Anti-War movement.
It is a sad day in American history when a one-time conservative-libertarian stalwart has fallen more out of touch with Americas needs for national security than the current feeble and appeasing administration, said YAFs Senior National Director Jordan Marks.
Who would have ever thought that we would see the day when YAF was more aligned with the Obama administration than a formerly conservative Republican congressman? Rep. Paul's refusal to support our nations military and national security interests border on treason, aside from his failure to uphold his oath to the United States Constitution and defend our country and citizens against all enemies, foreign and domestic, Marks continued.
SNIP
YAF National Chairman Michael Jones issued the following statement on this issue:
SNIP Freedom and prosperity cannot peacefully exist alongside radical Islam. It is unfortunate that Ron Paul--a member of the U.S. Congress-- does not understand this. Surely, our enemies do.

The operative word is “young”.??
Indeed. . .or speaking Arabic or Chinese. . .
That's right, none.
Hmmm...
YAF owns the Reagan Ranch.
"Buckley was another proto Big Government faux conservative, thats all."
Did you know this Kristinn?
Ron and Rand Paul flood CPAC with their homosexual, anti-war lunatics. No surprise he wins the straw poll.
Exactly right. Paul is correct about the Fed... but that doesn’t matter if we are all dead.
It doesn’t matter if we are alive if we are slaves. We don’t have to argue over which is worse. Neither is tolerable. The Iraq war is beginning to make Paul look correct. It’s been a year since the Iraqi elections and they don’t even have a government installed yet. How many lives and how much money for what? I’m not ready to join the anti war camp but I wonder if we have served ourselves well.
These YAF people must love our current ‘bipartisan’ foreign policy which consists of spending billions of foreign aid, providing for the defense of countless other countries by stationing our troops there, and supporting dictators such as Mubarak, the Saudis, the tunisia guy and others, who are all socialist criminal billionaires due to stealing from their own citizens.
I expel Ron Paul every morning.
“YAFs concern with Rep. Paul stems from his delusional and disturbing alliance with the fringe Anti-War movement.”
It took them this long to figger out that Ron “batsht crazy” Paul has these leanings? His kid seems ok.
So far.
I did a google search to see if they had, and couldn't come up with anything.
Because if your organization officialy supports military action overseas without publicly calling for an end to all Muslim immigration, you're suspect in my book.
Young Americans for Freedom (YAF)... expelled Rep. Ron Paul, Texas Republican, from their advisory board on Saturday... stems from his delusional and disturbing alliance with the fringe Anti-War movement.
But it's Ron Paul that's the nut. Yea, that's the ticket.
L
That would be news to many people, not the least of which would be William F. Buckley.
What the heck does how many elections Mr. Mark has won got to do with anything? If you think winning elections makes you somehow superior then you must have loved Ted Kennedy.
‘bout time...........
It's called a 'point'. Ron Paul has won numerous elections, often by margins of greater than 60% against his opponents. Mr. Mark has won exactly none.
If Congressman Paul's constituents think he's a nutcase, they have recourse at the ballot box every two years.
