If anything it was demeaning to the white woman getting beaned with the pepsi can.

And why did pepsi think that portraying their soft drink as a weapon you can chuck at people’s heads, would be a good thing to do?

Pepsi was dead to me a long time ago anyway.

That was about the only commercial I laughed at.

It was a horrible ad from any perspective.

You notice the Black couple take off after injuring the white woman. No remorse and no aide. No responsibility for their act! Typical behavior by a thug culture.

I find the existance of Sheila Jackson Lee to be an insult to the rest of the animal kingdom.

Ms. Lee, I’m afraid your Race Card has expired.

Our country is broke. The services promised to millions of American's is broke. We are at war. We have un-precedented un-employment. We have crushing Government regulation killing the economy.

And this idiot is worried about a Pepsi commercial?

God help me, but I’m going to (partially) agree with Spacewoman Lee here.

The black woman in the ad was domineering, demanding, and violent from the start, in a stereotypical way. The black man was skulking and henpecked. The white jogger was nice and friendly and much more attractive than the black woman. The black man warmed to the jogger immediately and the black woman responded with scowling ugliness and uncontrolled violence that harmed an innocent. The blacks then hightailed it rather than rendering aid or staying to take responsibility.

I’ve seen numerous cellphone videos that play scenes similar to this out for real that have been posted on youtube. It is for fear of becoming a victim of such uncivilized behavior that many people move to the suburbs and stay there. Yes, the commercial was exaggerated and played for laughs, but the underlying character and behavior patterns are real and serious.

I’m really tired of racists like her.

Just for argument sake: In some ways, couldn’t it be said that the commercial pointed out how normal it is for persons to be attracted to one another without consideration of their skin color? That we are not a nation of bigots. That attraction and love in our culture isn’t limited or precluded by race. That maybe we all very much do ‘...want to just get along’?

It’s just pure slapstick comedy. What’s the big deal? Pepsi is trying to sell their product to blacks...so they use blacks as protagonists. The white lady jogger just provides an emotional hook. I’m sure some advertising dude can explain it.

How many times did the Three Stooges accidentally clock some poor rube and leave him writhing in pain on the ground? Or Charlie Chaplin or a million other American comics?

Classic Americana - that’s my ruling.

Sheila Jackson Lee and Jesse Jackson need to hook up and have a four some with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jr. and crate their own hate whitey race on gilligan’s island.

I’m offended by all the commercials that have blacks and whites in them, and in all cases they make the white persons to look like the incompentent buffoons and the black people to look like the cool, intellegent ones.

"I think that we can come together in a much better way, sell Pepsi, and as well talk about good nutrition," she said. "But, frankly, I consider this insulting, and so did many other women of all colors."

Maybe by coming together, we could make a commercial for Colt 45 and have a bunch of drunk brothers and sisters chugging down some 40 oncers, here in Detroit in front of an Arab Party Store, in a burned out neighborhood? Then old Sheila Jackson Lee would probably go join the Colt 45 imbibers?

Was she offended by Usher being lowered on a chain during halftime show during “Black History Month”? She’s offended because it’s the shortest month of the year.

I have to admit that I thought it was one of the funnier ads. More to the point, though, it never registered in my mind that the couple was black.

Yea, i wish I could laugh, but white female joggers attacked by two black folks then left for dead face down in the park just doesn’t have the same HA HA value it did ten years ago.

What's offensive is S.J.L., THE queen bee, constantly gets re-elected.

People of Planet Houston, you really deserve better than this "representative."

AMEN Rep. Lee, the commercial was an abomination and demeaning to everybody that watched it: black and white.

Lord, let me never buy Pepsi or Doritos products again. Remind me of the insults every time I see their trademarks. And preserve me from the temptation to violently crush the Doritos chips in the bag.
