which one was the one with the State Trooper?

I’d like to see the facts on that one...hard to believe a guy who drives for a living could make that dumb a mistake
and keep doing so for miles.

This whole stinking business took place while negotiations were going on over the number of Marines in Okinawa. As soon as the Japanese caved (and the prime minister sacked for going back on his promise to move the base) suddenly Toyota automobiles started working normally again.

The driver was a California Highway Patrolman. He was driving a loaner car. He and his entire family were driving north on a new freeway that ends at an intersection in Santee. They ran out of freeway before they ran out of gas. Everybody inside was killed. Very sad.

I don't know how dumb he may have been, but he did call 911 for help.

That's dumb.
