On February 9, the Lets Move! anniversary, the First Lady will deliver a major address focused specifically on the campaigns efforts to meet the needs of parents. Mrs. Obama will reach out to parents to commend them for the impact they have had on fundamentally shifting the conversation on childhood obesity this year. In a speech hosted by North Point Community Church and Ray of Hope Christian Church at North Points congregation in Alpharetta, Georgia, Mrs. Obama will share personal reflections about how she came to this issue, discuss the issues parents deal with, and what has been achieved together.
This is the Ronald Obama 2012 campaign, folks.
It is not a Baptist church (my mistake, I am a Baptist, just habit to type it). My son goes here - it is not an African American congregation.
It is a MEGA church.
I am actually in Florida, this is my son’s church. He is not very happy about this.
You do know the church, the pastor is indeed Charles Stanley’s son. I’m considering sending him an email. Shame on him.
I just posted on my FB - I expect to see a lot of upset friends on there.
I hope Stanley isn’t pulling a “Rick Warren”... sheesh.
Can this let’s move idea get any more assinine than it is already???? It’s LAUGHABLE!!!
YIKES she and husband are very conservative... I attended several times...was amazed that no American Flag or Christian Flag was displayed and seemed more rock style music service...don't know if it is the same...awaiting her reply..
Isn’t that Andy Stanley’s church?
Yep
We will also insist Rep John Lewis D GA-5th join to reflect with Michelle on their greatness . All deep in the heart of Milton.
Nice decision-making Andy! Way to lead!
How would you know the voting patterns of North Point members.
Everyone I know who belongs is quite conservative. However, I will concede NPCC has a large young population (20 somethings). Also, perhaps NPCC members fell for the hopey changey, can’t we all get along, kumbaya stuff.
Sorry to the original poster, I just can’t bring myself to be that close to Michelle. Not even for a protest.
“How would you know the voting patterns of North Point members.”
Top level staff person told me - and that’s all I can say.
I’m surprised I always thought that congregation was pretty conservative.
I just sent an email to the Community church who is sponsoring this and asked for a response back...will see what happens...
I'm an ‘old’ has been hairdresser and I can still remember on the first day of beauty school in Ohio...darn its 50 years already...the professor who taught us our business law class...First words out of his mouth...was ‘as a hairdresser NEVER get into a discussion with your clients regarding RELIGION OR POLITICS!!!!!!!
CAN NOT BELIEVE A CHURCH CAN DO THAT AND STAY TAX FREE...I HOPE THIS GETS INVESTIGATED.
I can’t give names.
Take it for what it’s worth.
Exactly how does one “have” their members vote for Obama?
Like I said, my husband and I know many couples who go to church there, who are very conservative and very outspoken *against* Obama (minus 1, who is a college professor...).
If there was some push to vote for Obama, we would have heard about it.
But having said that, Stanley has jumped the shark on this one.
The line of BULLSH*T they are trying to feed us?
That Meechelle and Barry-Hussein are CHRISTIANS.
It's LAUGHABLE.
Or, "Candy-gram for Mongo".
