I propose we start referring to our ideology as “Americanism” instead of conservatism I like that very much. The word "conservatism" has become diluted and bastardized by the likes of GOProud, not to mention poseurs like Gingrich and Rove. It's been rendered meaningless.
And you're absolutely right that the outrage on the left would be magnificent were we to call our ideology "Americanism". I love it!
