Wisner: Mubarak ‘must stay’

Frank Wisner, a former ambassador to Egypt who was sent to Cairo earlier this week by President Obama meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, said Mubarak must stay in office to guide his country through important transitions in the coming months.
You need to get a national consensus around the pre-conditions for the next step forward, Wisner told the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. The president must stay in office in order to steer those changes through.
Wisner said he considered Mubaraks continued lead
Can’t the US go three hours without telling the Egyptians what to do? Geez.
???
I have far more confidence in Wisner’s experienced, considered, and intelligent opinion than Obama’s.
I think Merkel and Brown are giving a subliminal “no confidence” message to the ONE.
Correction, a BIG NOT make the brotherhood of terrorist win.
My bad, meant to say what ever keeps the brotherhood out is good. Posting without glasses NOT GOOD! Thanks.
ppppffffftttt.... Vince Foster couldn't write this story. Not even Tom Clancy could write this story.
Fox News (TV) is not backing down from the story of the attempt.

Pentagon moving warships and to prepare for possible evacuations
The Pentagon is moving U.S. warships and other military assets to make sure it is prepared in case evacuation of U.S. citizens from Egypt becomes necessary, officials said Friday
The Kearsarge, an amphibious assault ship carrying 700 to 800 troops from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and the Ponce have arrived in the Red Sea, putting them off Egypts shores in case the situation worsens.
I noticed that too. It’s all very bizarre- in a week filled with bizarre happenings. How is it that an assassination attempt could be made on the VP of Egypt, two of his bodyguards killed, in the middle of a major crisis and yet the White House and the Sec’y of State have no prepared statements? No official anything?
One thing though- while some spokesman for the gov’t in Egypt says no, no, no it never happened, notice neither the White House nor Hillary denied it. This is a real WTF story.
Also- I haven’t read the full story/details about the START treaty nuke secrets of the UK we’re giving to Russia- BUT do we know if this was known by all our Congress who passed this bill? For example, does John McCain KNOW this was in the treaty or do we have yet another example of Congress signing off one something without knowing its content?
Grim days.
Correction (losing my mind) I meant Vince FLYNN...not Vince Foster..
Prayers up for Vince and his family...as he courageously fights his cancer....
