Are Obama, Reid, and McConnell about to Kill the Tea Party?

OK folks, this is my prediction: Harry will act like he cannot stop the repeal vote in the Senate and the Senate will approve the repeal. Then Obama will complain, but will eventually sign the repeal. No veto.

What makes me say this? Because the fix is in!

And guys like Mitch McConnell are part of it. The media is part of it...

This action will keep Obamacare from going to the Supreme Court and potentially embarrassing Obama and Democrats. It will take the spotlight off the exemptions and the added taxes. It allows Obama to claim that things have changed from 2008 and that he is just doing the will of the people by signing the repeal. His signature on the repeal will make him appear as a centrist. And most of all … it deals a major blow to the Tea Parties.

Without Obamacare, the Tea Parties will lack a central issue to demonize Obama and Democrats in 2012. Then if Obama actually cuts government spending and deficits, the wind will be taken totally out of the Tea Parties’ sails.

The old line guys like McConnell don’t want the Tea Parties. They can’t control them (remember that McConnell wanted to continue earmarks until the Tea Parties pressured him). So of course McConnell is cooperating with Reid and Obama to use methods for repeal that make it look like Reid cannot not stop it...

Republicans and Democrats all get things that they want … and most of all; they all get rid of the Tea Parties. Without this going to the Supreme Court, Americans are the ones who lose. How will we the people find out the limitations of Congress?

What a bunch of con men!

Reminds me of the tired argument that we should stop demanding Zippo’s birth certificate `because it takes away from pursuing more important matters ...’. Your variant seems to be that there is only one salient issue.
Most conservatives can chew gum, walk and rip Zero’s azz, and all at the same time. There are plenty of other issues besides national healthcare. And we’re all out of chewing gum. Lead, follow or get out of the way.

...you could tell Obama didn’t try very hard on the trail for dems in 2010...

I have to disagree - all he did was campaign all summer and fall. He was in Ohio, what, 8 or 10 times, trying to keep the democRAT governor in office. He campaigned very hard for as many as he could. It's just that his campaigning wasn't helpful in most cases. In fact, he had become the kiss of political death for several democrats and at least one asked that he NOT show up on their behalf.

You mean if Obama starts doing everything the Tea Party wants (fat chance) the Tea Party won’t change their positions for the sake of opposing him? I guess.

we know what Obama is ... but the issue is about the independent voters. they will swing back to Obama if they are convinced that he has moved to the middle.

this was also in the article:

“If Harry Reid does not want the repeal vote to go to the floor of the Senate, then the Republicans cannot force it. So if it does go to the floor, then it must be because Harry and Obama want it to happen.

Look at the current situation.

The Tea Parties are beating the snot out of Democrats.

All the exemptions to Obamacare are being exposed.

All the imbedded taxes in Obamacare are being exposed.

The law suits that challenge Obamacare are headed to the Supreme Court which will make a decision in 2012 just before the elections.”

Obama does not want this to drag out into 2012. and McConnell et al want to see the Tea Party go away.

Think like an independent before you discard what this article is presenting. Obama approval rating jumped with just his speech in Tucson. This article makes sense.

this is more from the article:

“Without Obamacare, the Tea Parties will lack a central issue to demonize Obama and Democrats in 2012. Then if Obama actually cuts government spending and deficits, the wind will be taken totally out of the Tea Parties’ sails.”

Bingo! Dems did not ram through their lifelong dream socialist cornestone agenda item designed to have everyone at their mercy and voting for them in perpetuity to even consider ever turning back.

dems will fight repeal with every last drop of blood they have, by any means, legal, illegal, unconstitutional. they are NOT giving up on what’s already started to destroy private healthcare when they think they are finally within grasp of controlling the entire population with socialized medicine. No way. If they did they would not be democrats. It’s what they do, it’s who they are.

If Obama didn’t want Obamacare and the Democrats didn’t want Obamacare, they wouldn’t have voted for it. They knew they’d lose a lot of seats, and they voted for it anyway.

The Dummies are desperate to get the Obamacare albatross from around their neck.

But only an idiot would think that Obamacare is the ONLY issue for the Tea Party.

I wish these nutjobs would at least do a LITTLE research.

if you think that Obama is tied to any specific ideology, then you don’t understand him. his only desire is for power. he will change with the wind if it helps him secure power. he is a deciple of Saul Alinsky.

Why is it important to understand the impact of Saul Alinsky and his “Rules for Radicals?”

On the back cover of the most recent printing of ‘Rules for Radicals,” the Chicago Sun-Times makes this comment:

“Alinsky’s techniques and teachings influenced generations of community and labor organizers, including the church-based group hiring a young (Barack) Obama to work on Chicago’s South Side in the 1980s….Alinsky impressed a young (Hillary)Clinton, who was growing up in Park Ridge at the time Alinsky was the director of the Industrial Areas Foundation in Chicago.”

Alinsky’s techniques are used by labor union leaders, community organizers, Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton, and many other liberal leaders.

Saul Alinsky: he (the community organizer) does not have a fixed truth – truth to him is relative and changing.

The objective of the radical is change. It does not matter from what or to what. The objective is change. Without causing change, there is no need and no justification for the community organizer.

Saul Alinsky points out that the community organizer is not interested in political ideology. The organizer is interested in power, and that power is gained through promoting change. If the society is black, then change it to white. If the society says yes, then teach it to say no. The implementation of change provides power to those who lead the effort. And power is the objective… not any specific ideology.

Repeal of the health law will energize the Tea Party like nothing else. It will prove that while it may take hard work and way more time than anyone wanted, it IS possible to win major victories against this administration and reverse some of the horrific progressive laws they’ve managed to enact. “Yes we can” can become THEIR motto.

Also, BHO made clear in his SOTU address that he thought the time for debating health reform was over. Let’s fix a few tiny glitches such as the 1099 requirement and call it a day. That’s his attitude. To sign repeal would be roughly equivalent to killing one of his own children. He put all his political capital and reputation into jamming this thing through. His base will be OUTRAGED by his casually walking away from this fight. It will ensure a primary challenge from the left that will pose a far greater risk to his re-election prospects than the Tea Party would.

Your short posting record is a bit strange. In some comments you use capital letters and formal sentence structure, but in others you do neither. It’s almost like two different people are using one handle.

Your red meat type posts end to be short.

Your concern troll posts tend to be lengthy.

I’m content to just observe for now. Carry on.

President Cloward-Piven isn't worried about the USSC.

Whatever they rule, Obamacare will keep on rolling along.

He hasn't obeyed any laws yet.

The writer of this piece has totally miss read the Tea Party Movement.

Either he is sowing disinformation to try and make the Tea Party a one issue movement or he is ignorant of what the Tea Party is all about. My vote is on the first.

I agree. If Obama adopts Reagan’s policies he won’t be so unpopular. You see a problem here somehow?
