According to Palestinian news agency, Cypriot president sends letter to Abbas recognizing Palestinian state with east J'lem as capital.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas received a letter from the president of Cyprus Dimitris Christofias in which he recognized a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, reported Palestinian news agency WAFA on Sunday.

According to the report, in the letter, Christofias ensured historic deep relations between the two countries and said he hoped the region will witness a peaceful solution ensuring an independent Palestinian state with east Jerusalem as its capital.

Over the weekend, Cyprus Foreign Minister Marcos Kyprianou said the country supported a freeze on West Bank settlements after a meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Dr. Riyad al Malki, reported the Cyprus Mail on Saturday.

If Israel's enemies wanted 1967 borders they should never have launched an attack on the Jewish State. Wars have consequences. To the victor go the spoils. Too bad, Cypress...go eat some olives.

There already is a Palestinian state, it’s called “Jordan.”

With a reread, I agree with your ????? assessment. To clarify, the wars were won by Israel and the borders acquired in those wars stand.

Too bad. The muzzys have to understand they can’t unring that bell from 1967. They lost big and that’s tough. Should have thought twice before they attacked

To paraphrase Uncle Joe Stalin, how many divisions does the Cypriot army have?

There was no Palestine in 1967, and there is none now.
So which “line” are these idiot referring to?

Good point. Does Cypress want Jordan to take the land back? Jordan renounced all claims in 1988. They do not want it back!
