Using lectures, videos and PowerPoint slides, the Pentagon plans to start training commanders, chaplains and troops next month on how to adjust to a military that will allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in uniform, a critical step in ending the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, officials said Friday.
The new guidelines come as President Obama and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates vowed this week to lift the ban this year, a promise in line with the expectations of gay rights groups who are seeking a swift end to the policy.
Each of the military services will be responsible for the specifics of training, which will occur in three phases. Military chaplains, lawyers and civilian personnel will go first, followed by commanding officers and the rank-and-file. The services will focus on training troops before they deploy, but some training may take place on the battlefront, officials said.

Like some other “training” in the past where being white I was told how evil I was and being male I was told how evil I was I will now be told how bad I am for being straight and having a religious teaching against homosexuality makes me evil.
I will not take the training. I will NOT have the institution tell me that I must accept what I do not accept. If they want to tell me that PROFESSIONALLY I may not in any way hold being gay against someone then no issue....Done deal, but I will NOT subject myself to re-education camps of the government under any auspices whatsoever against my religious beliefs which have specific constitutional protection.

Your faith and the government are like two trains on the same track heading for collision.
What they don’t consider is that much or most of the volunteer army is value-based. At least the rural, small town and overrepresented working class white males that are the backbone. Not to put anyone else down, but that is and always has been the core of the military.
I’d be interested in your observations. I can’t think of a way this wouldn’t suck. The omnibus classes always do but this will be brutal. Fag PowerPoints, yippee.
Not only that but I hear that the real reason 0bama’s allowing this is to form a military that will someday follow orders to turn on American citizens on American soil. Heterosexual men will never do that.
After 0bama was elected but before he took office, I heard an interview on late-night talk radio and the guy insisted that the 0bama plan is to someday conduct air strikes on selected targets in the lower 48 to quell an uprising. I take it those areas are the red areas of the country.
Obviously I don't know if it's true or not, but considering what we've learned about this administration so far, it seems quite possible.

The “film” they were subjected to were that all whites were racist and not other races. Some of them couldn’t take it anymore and blasted the white liberal lecturer.

Well, I deleted the first comment I made before submitting it (out of desire to remain a free man), but suffice it to say I told my daughter, who is a Young Marine, to forget any future career in the military, at least one with my help.

Thanks for your service, ma’am. Yeah, it’s gonna suck. Having a hard time deciding how to respond, as I have a bunch of reserve JAGs I’m taking care of and I really have trouble telling them “press on” when I so viscerally disagree with this course of action.

I’ll be interested to see the actual training. I assume I’ll get a hand in reviewing it pre-roll. Should be fun, as I have no problem saying, “that’s just flat wrong”, when they start the “it’s just natural for some people” crap.

The military planners have said in affect:
You may be openly sodomite, but NOT openly Christian.
I am waiting to see the spiritual soundness of the Chaplains Corps by how they respond to all of this.
So who is in charge here? The POTUS or some gay rights groups? Sadly, I think we know the answer.
How will it be enforced? Sodomy is still illegal under the UMCJ. Whatever people do off duty, if someone reports it, they can still be prosecuted for it. Its a feel good sop to gay activists but it doesn’t change the nature what is still an illegal act.
