From FOX:
DEVELOPING: Loud explosions and gunfire were heard in the Egyptian capital of Cairo Friday, as protesters demanding the removal of President Hosni Mubarak defied a curfew, Al Jazeera reported. Egyptian television reports the ruling party headquarters in Cairo are on fire.
From TWITTER:
WashingtonPost: Clinton: We urge #Egypt authorities to allow peaceful protest, reverse unprecedented steps it has taken to cut off communications less than 20 seconds ago
Both. If the people voted (democracy) they would elect Islamic hardliners.

BREAKING: The entire staff of the Israeli EMbassy in Cairo has been evacuated by helicopters
That is exactly what I was thinking...is this it?
The defense condition in Iraq is now so weak that a complete take over will happen over night. And Obama won't do a thing to stop it. He can't even fix Afghanistan. Nor can his Liberal Commanders with their cowardly “Rules of Disengagement”!
You are right, some of it is really almost too frightening to contemplate, but we need to understand the seriousness of it.
I can’t believe we’ve had posters thinking this is somehow a good thing.
I think it’s a bunch of confusion. Think it was started by Islamic hardliners, like Muslim Brotherhood - trying to convince the people that the government is taking advantage of them. Got everyone out of control. I’m sure everyone has their reason for it, but I’m quite sure it was started by more than people upset about lack of jobs, retirement age, and oh the prez has been in power too long. And they were very inspired by Tunasia. There is an element of rebellion and hostility brewing.
I don’t have time to work up my own graphic so I had to use what was available on the interwebz. As you noted I was going for effect over accuracy.
Sorry man, I’m not in this fight. I’m just watching everything unfold. I don’t see this as good for the stability of the world overall.
Thanks for illustrating my point. Do you mind posting the link to the map. I’d like to read the narrative that accompanies it.
“What happens if we have to step in to protect Israel and Russia objects?”
You mean, like Gog and Magog gather against Israel and us? Hmm, interesting idea
Pro DEMOCRACY?!?! OMG are they NUTS? This from FOX? Hah- the Egyptian people will WISH for Mubarak within a year if the MB gets in power.
Uhmmmm they are the Muslim Brotherhood and assorted islamic thugs who are hell bent on installing sharia law in a currently secular muslim country.
So B) is correct.
FOX had best get up to speed.
Wow. Egyptian government (Mubarak) just outlawed the “Muslim Brotherhood.”
Also a Fox News reporter says the protesters “greeted” the military forces.

President Obama was briefed for 40 minutes on the political crisis in Egypt on Friday, the White House said.
The update, which replaced Obamas regular daily briefing, was in the Oval Office and attended by a half-dozen advisers, including chief of staff Bill Daley and national security adviser Tom Donilon, the White House said in an e-mail to reporters.
Also present were national security aide Ben Rhodes; Tony B

Digging a hole to hide in........
For what it’s worth Haaretz news website has been updating the situation every few minutes all day, until about an hour ago nothing new has been posted.
CNN reporters have been hinting that Mubarek may have fled.
Mubarak may have pulled a Batista.
CNN reporters have also been claiming the protesters just want jobs, etc.
