DUBAI From Egypt to Jordan and Algeria to Yemen, Tunisias Jasmine Revolution has begun to undermine Arab regimes that have for decades maintained their control through fear, analysts say.
The question is who remains, not which country is next, said Amr Hamzawy, research director at the Carnegie Middle East Centre in Beirut, adding protests could affect most Arab states except for Gulf oil monarchies.

But the fear of serious strife in Egypt has set alarm bells ringing in Israel.
The Israeli strategic community is praying that this unrest in Egypt will fade away and not escalate into a prolonged period of instability, said Gidi Grinstein, founder and president of the respected Reut Institute think tank.

If Mubarak is toppled then Israel will be totally isolated in the region, said Alon Liel, a former director-general of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and a former ambassador to Turkey.
The unrest in Egypt has also presented the Obama administration with a delicate balancing act, juggling its desire for a return to Middle Eastern stability, its support for democratic principles and its determination to avoid the rise of an anti-U.S. Islamist government in Cairo potentially allied with Iran.

I haven’t seen a lot of desire for either of the later two goals by this administration. Honduras and the dumping of the demonstrators in Iran don’t suggest a good outcome here, if Zero has anything to do with it.
Wow....praying for Israel...yet and still...
This has the same feel as Jimmy Carter in Iran. An Islamist Egypt, which is all Muslims are capable of if you give them actual democracy, changes everything in the Middle East. Egypt has been one of the few sources of stability in that part of the world for a long time. Nuclear war just came one big step closer because Islamists will eventually control the border between Egypt and Gaza and Israel will be facing a two front war and two front terrorism. Remember the “concerned scientists” in the 80’s with their stupid doomsday clock set at 11:59 ‘til doomsday? Where are they now?
All at the same time Zero is working to prevent the US from developing any domestic energy resources and make sure we have no credible missile defense.

I too am praying for Israel, and America this morning.
Though the storm clouds gather, God is with us, for
God Loves Us. God may yet wave His Hand. I pray
He does, yet I ask His Will Be Done. Amen.
Good analysis, the US should do all it can to support Mubarak. An Egyptian Theocracy based on Sharia law on Israel’s door step is Armageddon waiting to happen. I sure hope we learned from Carter’s lack of support for the Shah in 1978.
Of course Israel is greatly concerned
The Obama regime idiots are making noses about democracy needed which Obama never made during the Iranian demonstrations
Hamas and other wacko fundamentalists will hijack any attempt at Egyptian democracy. Mubarek is much better
Couldn't agree more, but you should still watch the whole thing.
The "jihadi scum" didn't get that way overnight. They are our enemy because....well....they are jihadi scum!
Great danger ahead -- the Muslim Brotherhood is out in force.
