WASHINGTON (JTA) -- U.S. Sen. Rand Paul wants to end all foreign assistance, including aid to Israel.
Paul, a Republican newly elected in Kentucky, was on CNN Wednesday outlining where he would cut the $500 billion in government spending he says is critical to sustaining the U.S. economy. His focus was on the departments of energy, education and housing.
Interviewer Wolf Blitzer then asked about foreign assistance, asking if he wanted to end "all foreign aid." Paul said yes, and Blitzer asked him about aid to Israel.
"Well, I think what you have to do is you have to look," Paul said. "When you send foreign aid, you actually [send] quite a bit to Israel's enemies. Islamic nations around Israel get quite a bit of foreign aid, too.
"You have to ask yourself, are we funding an arms race on both sides? I have a lot of sympathy and respect for Israel as a democratic nation, as a, you know, a fountain of peace and a fountain of democracy within the Middle East."
Blitzer pressed, "End all foreign aid including the foreign aid to Israel as well. Is that right?" he asked.
Paul answered, "Yes."

Looks like you’re the sole attacker of Ron Paul here on this thread. Things have certainly changed in the last 3 or so years. Many of the people who are anti Ron Paul have been proven to be not conservative at all / RINOs / neocons.
This makes a lot of sense we are broke anyway so it would be the correct thing to do.

Close more bases. People voted for insolvency in 2008. We need to cut more and more. The biggest enemy to America is within. Switch on your TV and you hear Obama support on every channel except the church channels.

If you notice both Pauls use the false premise of pretending that we have to treat things as equal that we in relaity do not.
We must cut off Isreal if we cut off Islamic nations? Why?
Ron Paul claimed that we must treat homosexual behavior as equal to heterosexual behavior as well. Why?
We have every right and it is common sense to not cut-off our allies such as Isreal. So why do both of the Pauls now act as if we ‘have to’ cut off our allies if we are to cut off nations that are not such?
They both pervert the true Constitutional meaning of ‘equality’ and act as if we must treat all kinds of behaviors as equal.
All behavior is not equal. The Pauls are perverts. We can disriminate against our enemies (Iran does not have a right to nuclear weapons as is claimed by PAUL) and we can discriminate against homesexual behavior as well.
Why does Rand want to cut off support for Isreal? It seems to me that he following in the footsteps of his pervert father.

The voters ‘We the People’ are the private sector. There is no reason why we should be forced to cut off our allies based upon some false vision of equality that the Pauls preach.
