A celebrity journalist now claims he misspoke when he said last week that Hawaii’s governor told him he was unable to find President Barack Obama’s original birth certificate after a search of state and hospital archives.
Mike Evans told FoxNews.com on Wednesday he was remorseful and embarrassed that he appeared to have given the impression that he had discussed the search for Obama’s birth certificate with Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie.
Evans, who says he has been a close friend of Abercrombie since the 1980s, appeared on Minnesota’s KQRS radio last week and said he’d been told by the governor himself that Obama’s birth certificate was nowhere to be found. Evans told KQRS on Jan. 20:
"Yesterday, talking to Neil's office, Neil says that he searched everywhere using his powers as governor ..... there is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii. Absolutely no proof at all that he was born in Hawaii."
But that’s no longer Evans’ story.
“Only this I can you tell you is 100 percent fact: that Neil never told me there was no birth certificate,” Evans told Fox News. “I never talked to him.”

Note that he also said a few times: “Neil and I are buddies and have been for a long time. He mention Hawaii and during an illegal alien’s “promotion” to the Whit-Hut!!!
Okay. I was able to listen to that and I am definitely going to transcribe that!!

I wanted to listen to the whole segment first before transcribing it but I just jotted down on paper immediately these words right after he said them, “YESTERDAY I TALKED TO NEIL”.
And now that I hear his voice in that context I realize that he calls in to the local radio station that I hear sometimes when I’m at work. I could check the file for that too, and see what he said here in Nebraska. I’m going to save this file to my computer so it won’t disappear.
This guy has DEFINITELY, DOCUMENTABLY changed his story big-time. He claims that Abercrombie had a warrant to check the hospital files. That would blow away the idea that HIPAA would have kept him from seeing anything there.

And we need to get this out there before people believe the narrative that this guy actually never claimed to talk to Abercrombie.

The birthplace deal is a trick not yet fully understood, much like the other thing, that's all.
I'm too old to really care about either, but I thought someone should look a little deeper, that's all.
