The sheriff’s public pronouncements have been reprehensible. What about his failure to more closely monitor someone he knew was mentally unstable?
Pima County sheriff should resign.
There... fixed it.

I hear Tucson is “The San Francisco of Arizona.” Figures.
Indeed!
In fact, Dupnik is just one more example of a person who is supposed to be impartial, but is seduced by partisan/ideological biases.
How about "climate scientists?"
Janet Napolitano
Eric Holder
PBS
And then there is Obama himself. Eric Thomas said "Obamas standing above the country, above above the world, hes sort of God." And yet we see Obama jumping into the Cambridge police incedent, snubbung Netanyahu, "We won," etc. etc. Of course the POTUS's job is partly political, but I would rather have a POTUS with more dignity and impartiality.
The sheriff was on Hardball the first half hour
At the same time, they refer to Loughner as the alleged killer.
Good point. What do you expect from a Maddow fan.
Discrace-nik.
What is the chain of command between the Sherriff’s office, the FBI and Holder?
And, thus, the White House?
I blame our Governor, Jan Brewer for failing to remove this a-hole sheriff last April, when he said “ I will not enforce SB1070” . He said he would not enforce the law, and should have been removed then and there. She STILL hasn’t done anything.
Can a governor remove a sitting sheriff? I honestly don’t know.
There isn’t one.
” Can a governor remove a sitting sheriff? I honestly dont know.”
Yes.
The quickest way is to put one on “administrative leave”, pending an investigation. . Then he just kind of disappears ;-)
With all the heat Brewer has already endured, I’ll bet she’s not likely to do it. I would support her if she did. This guy isn’t fit to be the sheriff.
It would be best if he just disappeared after being put on administrative leave.
His potential jeopardizing of the prosecutor’s chances in this case is unacceptable. He doesn’t display having a clue what his comments could do the case.
The Not-So-Good Sheriff is 75 years old. He is likely suffering senile dementia......dementia in any case.
Sadly, I’m suffering too... due to this dimwits comments. Ouch!
