On Fox News, Megyn Kelly interviewed the man in charge of the Arizona shooting investigation, Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik. Kelly introduced the interview saying, it is always a difficult task to try to assign reason to an irrational act, but that is one of the things that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik is trying to do.
From there, Kelly was persistent, yet extremely deferential as she expressed the doubts of many who are wondering why the Sheriff is so publicly offering his speculative opinion that vitriolic rhetoric helped lead to the tragedy. Although the sheriff had no specific evidence of such rhetoric yet, he claimed there is no doubt in my mind that when a number of people night and day try to inflame the public, that theres going to be some consequences from doing that and I think its irresponsible to do that.
When he also warned that free speech is free speech but its not without consequences, Kelly questioned whether it was appropriate for a sheriff to be injecting their political spin? The sheriff answered that ultimately its up to the viewers to decide.
Watch the clip from Fox News below:
Megyn Kelly had him dead to rights. He is a Sheriff - he should be commenting on the Facts and the Facts alone, NOT offering public commentary.
I thought all old white guys were card carrying Tea Party members.
Dupnik? Who knew they had bohunks in Arizona
Sheriff Dupnik is a political hack. He wanted a right wing conspiracy and did not get one.
Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik was way out of line with those comments and should be removed from his position of authority.
Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik pointed at foreign sources of dollars funding vitriolic ads.
Sounds like he is talking about Obama’s charge against the US Chamber of Commerce.
So now the US Chamber of Commerce is to blame according to the Sheriff.
What a idiot, he should be removed as soon as possible.
Is the name Clarence Dupnik an alias for Jim Garrison?
+++BUMP: BEST VID CLIP ON THE LEFT’S BLAME GAME+++
I don’t believe liberals’ hate speech caused this leftist kook to explode. I think he was just crazy.
Very telling interview of the Sheriff. When he says he hasn’t found any evidence “yet”, he comes off as saying he will do what he can to make that “evidence” appear. In other words he has already came to a conclusion and will now find facts that back up his conclusion. Very very sloppy, very very dangerous. The man has pure political hack written all over him.
This has nothing to do with politics.
He was appointed sheriff 30 years ago and by now thinks quite highly of himself. Doesn’t even realize he’s a senile old fool. He’s no Sheriff Joe that’s for sure.
He finally had his chance in the spotlight and he blew it.
He won’t be the first LEO who couldn’t handle the national spotlight.
He’s not going to let it go even when someone nicely gives him an “out”. And from the comments at the link the loonie lefties aren’t going to let it go either.
Øbongo couldn’t resist fanning the flames, and the lamestream media is a willing co-conspirator.
Fine with me. Bring it bozos.
This was caused be Øbongo’s hateful rhetoric and perpetuated by the dhimmicrats who are asking to get stomped. The least we can do is oblige them.
What a hack. Next time, he should pull out all the stops:
Clarence Dupnik : "The shooter acted out because of Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, the Chamber of Commerce, Glen Beck, unaffordable health care, the failure of Cap and Trade, and Union card checks."
Seriously, who cares what mouthpiece is prattling?
Megyn is hot.
She is so beautiful she could speak in tongues and I’d wholeheartedly agree with her.
“We see one party trying to block the attempts of the other party to make this a better country”
Hmmm... I wonder what he’s refering to on that? It SURE couldn’t be the Republicans blocking the Dumbacrats, could it?
He sure wasn’t talking as a sheriff, he was talking as a Dumbacrat political hack!
