* Suspect had made death threats in the past * Ranted about 'mind control' and terrorism in rambling YouTube postings * He posted image of gun over U.S. history textbook on MySpace * Army confirms he tried to enlist... but was rejected * Sports store says suspect passed FBI background check to by handgun
The main suspect in the Arizona massacre has links to a fanatical pro-white magazine.
Fox News claimed it had seen a Department of Homeland Security memo which said Jared Lee Loughner, 22, had ties to American Renaissance, which is staunchly anti-immigration, anti-government and anti-Semitic.
Arizona Republican Gabrielle Giffords, the target of the mass killing, is the first Jewish female elected to such a high position in the US government. She was also opposite this groups ideology when it came to immigration debate, according the DHS memo.
Mrs Giffords is the granddaughter of Akiba Hornstein, the son of a Lithuanian rabbi who in the 1940s moved from New York to Tucson. He later changed his name to Giff Giffords in an effort to avoid anti-Semitism.

That should go without saying... YET you said it...
Check your screws -I think one is loose.
not everybody knows that so it is necessary to defend the tea party.
...suspect passed FBI background check to by handgun
&&&&
By handgun? {~~sigh~~) Is proofreading just not used at all anymore?
The context of the article is about supremacists which has nothing to do with the Tea Party. To defend the Tea Party when there’s no direct accusation implies there’s a relationship.
FoxNews has not distinguished itself in this incident.

So true. I stopped watching last night. I may give them another shot tomorrow, but I suspect that I will once again turn it off in disgust.
Please quote the text where tumblindice stated that.
I think ura moron.
Completely agree - 100% support from from NARAL and gleefully helped pass repeal of DADT (with support of her USN CAPT husband - ugh!) - 14 carat LIBERAL....
If he was an Anti-Semite and listed “The Communist Manifesto” as one of his favorite works, not only was he a Dem, but he had a future in the obama administration had he chosen to pursue it...
LOL.
Arizona Republican Gabrielle Giffords, the target of the mass killing, is the first Jewish female elected to such a high position in the US government. She was also opposite this groups ideology when it came to immigration debate, according the DHS memo.
What?
I tend to agree. The moonbat champions of fabricated oppression and victimhood are clearly identifying themselves as deranged and delusional immoral party hacks -useful idiots...
Exactly my initial reaction -- no evidence cited, only an allegation...the DHS source has to be SPLC.
Thanks for posting that. The whole thing stunk of being a complete lie. If anything is true about it it is that DHS created this lie.
I don’t know anything about American Renaissance or Jared Loughner.
bushpilot1 sent me this link:

It does not shed a favorable light on Jared Loughner or American Renaissance. However the source is the Southern Poverty Law Firm, which is a leftie propaganda place.
I tried to post the article on FR and found that material from American Renaissance “is not welcome here on FR”. I respect Jim’s judgement, so I suspect there is some truth to the accusations on the link.
That said, they are probably not connected in any way to the shooter in AZ, I would bet the farm on that one.
Faux News is not our friend. They are only slightly less hostile to Americans than the rest of the media. As a result, they seem like our friends on occasion.
I have never heard of American Renaissance before but I know all about the Southern Poverty Law Center. One of the most racist organizations in America.
Oh, I was going to say I would take the same bet as you.
