Palin aide: 'Never intended gun sights' (Palin ready to fight back against Liberal Rag Bags)

An aide to Sarah Palin said images of cross-hairs were never meant to evoke violence, in the Palin camp's first extended comment on yesterday's attack.

" We have nothing whatsoever to do with this," Palin aide. Rebecca Mansour told the talk radio host Tammy Bruce in an interview. "We never ever, ever intended it to be gun sights. It was simply cross-hairs like you'd see on maps," she said, suggesting that it is a "surveyor's symbol."

There is "nothing irresponsible about our graphic," she said.

She called attempts to link Palin to the violence "obscene" and "appalling," and said she was "disgusted" with the politicization.

"We can't ban the words 'targeted swing districts' from the English language," she said. "We did nothing wrong here."

Those surveyer marks don’t look like “gun sights” to me but I’ve been around guns all of my life so I am familiar with what a “gun sight” looks like. I also don’t consider a single shot shotgun an “assault weapon” as the clowns in the “media” do.

(the other thread on this was pulled - NO REASON. Let's watch for this!)

http://www.postonpolitics.com/2010/04/democrats-our-bullseye-targets-on-house-districts-are-not-like-palins-crosshair-targets/

Palins campaign map 2010

dems campaign map bulls eyes - no problem.
quote:

Sarah Palin’s use of crosshairs to target Democratic House incumbents is dangerous symbolism, Democrats say. But a party spokesman says it’s “a stretch” to compare Palin’s imagery to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s use of red and white bullseyes last year to target Republican incumbents.”

Truth is, both maps are simply normal campaign rhetoric for targeting districts need to win. NOTHING violent about them.

To use this tragic loss of life and the congresswoman's struggle for life for political gain is heinous. Unconscionable. Where is ONE media/politician pointing this out?

Where is the president of the US - who was SO quick to urge CAUTION and advise not to jump to conclusions when an islamic terrorist, yelling “Allah Akbar!” as he gunned down soldiers at Fort Hood - a president who would NEVER admit that the shooting was a TERRORIST act? Where is the president now - who should be setting the tone to calm down this violent rhetoric?

Right out of the gate, before the shooter was even identified, the media, the politicians, the pundits and even the sheriff of Tuscon, pointed the finger at Palin.
There is NO excuse for Palins name to even be mentioned in conjunction with this story.
They are inciting violence...

The mantra of this administration:
“Never let a crisis go to waste.”

We up up against pure evil. These people are soulless and they mean our destruction. WE clamp down on this now, we fight them head on without equivocation - or we get ready for the Cattle Cars -

http://www.ushmm.org/museum/exhibit/online/phistories/phi_deportations_journey_uu.htm

(We are being desensitized right now to meekly submit and follow even the most outrageous of orders - and the public is submitting with only a few initial whimpers as they allow the unconstitutional and criminal sexual molestation of themselves and their children via the TSA. No one need wonder any longer “Why did the Jews meekly get on the cattle cars?”
Today, WE are the Jews. Wake up or take the ride.)

Sarah, stop defending yourself to these people.

It's like Jews saying "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is a fraud, we didn't write that and don't believe it!" to a bunch of Nazis.

I for one would be happier if she said "That's right, my digital targets have the power to call down your own psychotics with wrath on whatever progressive targets I deem worthy of destruction. Mess with me again, I dare you."

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Sarah’s probably the only republican with any “balls” to fight back. God, I pray the gop whimps in D.C. don’t back down because of this.

"...It was simply cross-hairs like you'd see on maps," she said..."

Possibly a dumb question but has anyone seen these symbols on maps before? I googled and dogpiled but wasn't able to find any maps that had them.

I want Sarah to run for President.

But if I were her, I would retire from public life, go fishing and watch my kids and grandkids grow up.

This is not a healthy politcal environment for any of us. We are all at risk now.

"It’s the MSM that is ‘targeting’ Palin."

It's disgusting to listen to those rapacious lefty talking heads. They made the Sunday shows indigestible this morning. Had to turn it all off. The journalist types want to blame the "right" for the "rhetoric" which supposedly brought on this act of violence (conveniently forgetting that Craig Kilborn advertised for a sniper to kill President Bush on his TV show, without a murmur from the press; nor did the press "worry" about the books advocating the assassination of GWB.) And, the pansy-butts in Congress now want to spend millions on security for themselves. Here's a message to the Congressional spenders: worried about your safety? Then resign and go home.

Suing them would be much smarter move than playing right into the rat trap of “we were at fault.”

What some of them do is talk on and on about Palin and her “gun sites” then in the last few seconds say “And both sides need to stop it.”

Then again I guess that’s to be expected. Freedom of speech only applies to their speech. I despise these people. And I must say I do not believe assasination is right in any form but when some of them die from natural causes I don’t shed a tear.

Finally, I couldn’t stop from laughing when Castro said this was wrong to kill elected officials. And just how did he come to power?

You’ve nailed it!

This is the problem with the GOP: We need to stop accepting their premises!

Just give the Left the collective middle finger!

I have to agree and I know you are a sincere supporter as you know I am. It might just be too much. She has a great life up there. Let the left go insane. Whatever she does I sure have appreciated her these past 2 1/2 years. If she retires from the scene the left will turn on itself and destroy one another, there is really no bogeyman (well, maybe Michelle Bachmann) that can replace Sarah.

Then again, after the election in 2008 I thought we had soundly lost the culture war and November 2nd proved me very wrong.

Ever seen the photos of Sarah shooting an automatic weapon, or the film footage of her shooting the caribou? You are never going to see another MSM news report concerning Palin that will not be accompanied by those images. As of yesterday, Palin is the face of politically motivated gun violence. My prediction.

"I think it is fair and accurate to observe off the past 24 hours of media swill, that we have a chattering class with a malformed opinion of their own importance and competence.

"I wonder if these people are ever forced to siy in a chair (without a remote) and listen to the blather they expel."

One would hope that they would feel shame, that they would resolve to embrace truth for its own sake and to rise to the responsibility of informing the public with unadulterated truth.

One would expect this of most people.

But we have learned to expect nothing but mendacity, distortion, selective omission, and propaganda from the Left. The Left has lost contact with principle and truth--as well as reality--and Leftists have no interest in such things.
