Palin aide: 'Never intended gun sights' (Palin ready to fight back against Liberal Rag Bags)
Politico ^ | 1/9/2011 | ben smith

An aide to Sarah Palin said images of cross-hairs were never meant to evoke violence, in the Palin camp's first extended comment on yesterday's attack.

" We have nothing whatsoever to do with this," Palin aide. Rebecca Mansour told the talk radio host Tammy Bruce in an interview. "We never ever, ever intended it to be gun sights. It was simply cross-hairs like you'd see on maps," she said, suggesting that it is a "surveyor's symbol."

There is "nothing irresponsible about our graphic," she said.

She called attempts to link Palin to the violence "obscene" and "appalling," and said she was "disgusted" with the politicization.

"We can't ban the words 'targeted swing districts' from the English language," she said. "We did nothing wrong here."

There is a glaring contrast in the coverage of yesterday’s shooting in Tucson and the coverage of the Fort Hood shootings. After Fort Hood, we were reminded to “keep and open mind” and “don’t jump to conclusions” about the Muslim shooter who shouted Allah Akbar as he brutally murdered those fine men and women. Wouldn’t want to mention his interest in Jihad now would we? In total contrast, yesterday’s shooting immediately brought accusations blaming right wing talk radio and tv for motivating this guy to shoot. Good Grief!

I think it's a mistake for Palin (or her aids) to respond to these liberal nut jobs. They're not worthy of her attention. Let guys like Rush and Hannity do it for her.

So glad Palin is fighting back on this. Don’t let the liars put this stuff out there unanswered.

I wonder if these people are ever forced to siy in a chair (without a remote) and listen to the blather they expel.

^^
I wish. These morons make me so sick. They are too lazy to actually investigate anything so they just play the childhood game we called “Gossip”. (I’ve heard others call it “Telephone”.) They just keep repeating what they have heard and don’t worry about any distortions they have put in.

But if I were her, I would retire from public life....

^^^
Same here. But thank heavens, Sarah has more guts than I do, and I think that she will do what her country needs from her.

OK - everyone. Listne up, copy and paste and repaste over and over in threads - and sent to everyone in your email adds.

ONCE and for ALL:

THIS is a registration mark - like on Palin's map

Bullseyes - like on the democrat campaign map

The democrat campaign map past election>

and the demRats explantion:

"Sarah Palin’s use of crosshairs to target Democratic House incumbents is dangerous symbolism, Democrats say. But a party spokesman says it’s “a stretch” to compare Palin’s imagery to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s use of red and white bullseyes last year to target Republican incumbents."

Right.

The frigthening part is - most will swallow this

Why would I want to check out the daily boards from alleged commentators who are probably paid shills of the far left.

Here is a screen capture of an actual plat.:

Go to this USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service guide page 4, Minor Code line 027 symbols that is just how the symbol was used.
Pages 1,2 and 3 are defined symbols and pages 4 and 5 are
'ad hoc': to be used for a specific pupose and not generally or conventionally defined. One surveyor will use an ad hoc symbol to represent "a" and another will use the same symbol to represen "k", "z" or "b". They will be labeled or defined in a Legend on the plat.

Here’s the reply, and it should be the ONLY reply:

“He’s one of THEIRS, and he is a typical example of how dangerous and unstable Liberals can be.”

I say Palin should sue for mischaracterization slander.

They pulled an Alinsky bait and switch; DAILY KOS did what they are accusing Palin of doing.

More on this dangerous faux Sheriff:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2654534/posts?page=1

Gotcha Sheriff Clarence “Jackas*” Dupnik
Market-ticker ^ | 1/10/11 | Karl Denninger

Posted on Monday, January 10, 2011 2:14:55 PM by Revel

Oh, you better hope this is not true:

“The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Six people died on his watch and he could have prevented it. He needs to step up and start apologizing to the families of the victims instead of spinning this event to serve his own political agenda.”

What have I been saying? That in point of fact the Sheriff had every opportunity to stop this assault by actually enforcing the law and didn’t do so.
Well now the truth is alleged to be this..... it’s much worse, it appears, than anyone thought:

“Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County. Amy Loughner is a Natural Resource specialist for the Pima County Parks and Recreation.”

What’s your response to this Mr. Dupnik? A bit of truth comes out, eh? Exactly how many felonies did you decline to investigate and prosecute? Are you going to slink away from the white-hot light of truth or will you “man up” and admit that your scurrilous allegations were disseminated simply to try to save your own hide from the entirely-appropriate wrath at the ballot box that is certain to ensue come next election?
The suspect didn’t just post one threat on an Internet forum and there wasn’t “just one” incident - it’s alleged here that he made multiple death threats against the staff of the college he was ejected from, radio personalities and local bloggers.
Each and every one of those threats was an offense and had just one of them been prosecuted it would have resulted in the suspect being blacklisted in the NICS database - and thus he would not have been able to buy the gun he shot the people in Tuscon with.

And before you go off on this guy and his blog being some sort of nut, here’s the credentials from his page:

James Kelley is a native of Tucson, born here in 1961. A Navy veteran, he graduated twice from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey CA majoring in Albanian and Persian-Farsi. He was a Balkan area, Middle East North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Gulf Area analyst for the Naval Security Group and the National Security Agency. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of the State of New York, Albany. Since leaving the service he has worked as a premium cruise line representative, telecommunications specialist, real estate broker, and as a substitute teacher in local school districts.

Presently, Mr. Kelley is a contributing columnist for the Arizona News-Telegraph and the Executive Director of SocialNetworkingWatchdog.Org, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to educating youth and seniors on personal security while using social networking.

Does Arizona have a recall process for so-called “elected officials” who behave like this and refuse to accept responsibility for their conduct - including but not limited to blaming others for their own failures that result in the death of innocent people? How about some sort of impeachment procedure? If you don’t, you need both - right now.
Best-a-luck in the next election Sheriff.

You’re gonna need it.
