Here’s the problem: In a very childish way, the Democrat party has now justified tax hikes under the auspices of “deficit reduction”. I have seen several articles on the Bloomberg calling Republicans hypocrites for supporting tax cuts. That’s funny, we’ve supported lower taxes for the past 30 years.

The problem with THAT is that it’s the Democrats’ deficit. ALL of it. THEY own it. Never, EVER, let anyone else forget that.

Heres the problem: In a very childish way, the Democrat party has now justified tax hikes under the auspices of deficit reduction. .Why is it so widely accepted that decreasing the marginal tax rate on individual tax-payers automatically results in decreased tax revenue for government? If we accept that premise we have already half lost the argument on taxation.

Actually, the vast majority of people support having their taxes lowered (democrats and republicans), but having other people's taxes increased to pay for bigger government. ;)
