SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that a San Diego war memorial cross in a public park is unconstitutional.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued the 3-0 decision Tuesday in a two-decade dispute over the cross at Mount Soledad.

As one of FR’s admitted atheists, I think this ruling is pure BS. The cross should stand.
The left has nothing better to do with their lives than to end all commonsense, everywhere.
There is an athiest and a Jew who are members of the committe to save the Mount Soledad Cross.
Heck, rule the name Mount Soledad unconstitutional. It refers to Nuestra Senora de la Soledad, a Spanish devotion to the Virgin. It means Our Lady of Loneliness or Solitude, and refers to Mary after the death of her Son.

This is cross at a public park is unconstitutional, but a picture making fun of the crusifixion at the Smithsonian Institute isn’t. Where was the ACLU on the Smithsonian Institute travesty? Is it just me, or do others also see an inconsistancy in how this separation of church and state is applied?

The Constitution is being destroyed. Many judges are some of the most effective agents of destruction. If we don't get back to being a Constitutional Republic as originally intended, the vile atheist/leftist tyranny will destroy what little is left of the freedoms enumerated to us in the Bill of Rights.

Around where I live, on top of the mountains there is a giant cross. I can see it from my house. I am surprised no one has complained about that. But then again, I don’t live in a liberal area; just old conservative democrats that haven’t realized that the present day democratic party is nothing but a bunch of socialist commies.
