Obama exhorts Republicans to put politics aside

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Ending a two-week vacation, President Barack Obama is appealing to newly-empowered Republicans to resist jockeying for the White House in 2012 and work with him to get the economy growing and the jobless back to work.

Facing anything but a political soft landing after his holiday stay in Hawaii, Obama told reporters en route to the capital Tuesday that he understands Republicans, who recaptured the House in last fall's elections, "are going to play to their base for a certain period of time."

“The investigations and attacks will drive him over the edge, and he will finally achieve his destiny - become the most hated man of his time.”

Ever since he was ejected onto the world stage from the bowels of South Chicago, I always expected it would come to this. A man (and I use the term VERY loosely) who has to hide his background will not be looked on favorably by history.

lol. Wrong on so many levels.

Is the economy suddenly so much more important than when DADT was apparently more important? Why the switch Mr. O?

Put politics aside huh? Like you did for healthcare when you couldn't hear a Republican in the entire country because you were so busy not putting politics aside?

But, I suspect that Republicans will put politics aside and work with him.

There's this big hollow spot in the middle of the GOP. You got the head (the leadership) and you got the legs and feet who do the actual work (that's us) then you got this gutless and spineless part right in the middle which is why we find it so difficult to get any legislation of our own through, but the Dems find it super easy to get their legislation through.

I suspect that O will get what he wants in the next 2 years, certainly enough to get reelected. After all, he was wounded and on life-support at the end of the last year and with plenty of Republican help, he's made the comeback of the year.

The Official response should be:

Dan Benishek arrives from the UP of Michigan and he decides to put his polyticks aside. Poly ticks meaning many of the ticks that reside in Iron County Michigan. See republicans can put poly ticks to the side.

Truly Odumbo is scared that the Republicans will derail his agenda to the point that he will be a lame duck president. Within the 100 Days we in America will see Odumbo lose many of his trusted advisors and friends as they abandone him and set out for greener pastures. Odumbo has spent his powder he is toast and Dumbocrats know it and they are leaivng in droves.

Yes the only poly ticks the republicans will be putting aside will be the ones that they acquired in the woods.

Translation: Give me a Marxist America and don’t get in my way! That’s what bipartisanship is all about!

I think the Republicans best be advised to remember the election was not ‘ for sometime’ but for all time to completely reverse the path Obama and his enablers had intended this Nation to be on. Obama is a hustler who is always trying to set the agenda-be it with soft soap or old fashioned ‘I won’ lye soap. He must not be allowed to change in the least the USA to his communistic society.

“who has to hide his background will not be looked on favorably by history.”

The insufferable act of eating kobe beef, slurpies and fattening up Michelle while Americans lose cash does not bode well for favorable mentions in American history books.

King obuma might be more roundly accepted with his tribal savages in Africa.

I say we repeal every law Obama SIGNED.AmeriCa will not follow Obama law anyway, he is not qualif8ied to be president under Article II of the Constitution.

We need to start demanding that our own states stop giving and taking money from the federal government.

Work together? Ohaha's having a pipe dream. The Tea Party will lacerate any
Repub who even spits in Ohaha's direction. Read my tag line: The new
definition of bi-partisanship is called "former member."

"Bi-partisanship is our only hope. We're desperate, and headed for oblivion.
Dems gotta rope in dumb Repubs to save our sorry *****." '

===================================

The 112th Republican Congress has power unlimited to stick it to Obama with numerous repeals, funding cutoffs, investigations, and so on.

Pubbies need to lean heavily on Obama and the Dems who got us into this mess. Pubbies should be encouraged to threaten a govt shutdown if Obama so much as looks at a veto pen.

Yes, Gingrich's govt shutdown was a disaster, back then. Today, an overwhelming segment of the population are with Republicans. They want change, and they will cheer Pubbies on to inflict major damage on Obamatons.

The Repub threat of not voting to raise the debt limit is a good one---since there is still plenty of govt income to pay soldiers, SS recipients, and the like.

Leave soldiers and SS alone----go after Obama's bureacracies---some of which doubled their budgets under Marxist Obama. Let’s take the EPA, Labor, HHS and Education Dept budgets back to 2007 levels ... just for starters.

Attack, investigate, vote to defund, vote to repeal, vote to dismiss, argue, subpoena, disagree...these are among the preferred approaches to dealing with the DIMs and nobama. Never stop fighting these anti-American losers. Never.
