If the attack on Kadena didn't trigger a massive counter-battery response on Red China's military infrastructre, the attck on a carrier task force surely would.
We have ,many more assets in the region than are publicly known, and Japan would VERY quickly become a major player.
Even with an America-hating President like O, China would end up badly bloodied.
The same mistake the Japanese made in 1941.

Back in 41, people in the US and the wider West had greater tenacity and could digest casualties. It’s not the same now. Look at Iraq and Afghanistan.

What's wrong with the scenario outlined above is that it assumes that everything China does works and goes right, while everything we do goes wrong. That is possible--but not likely.
