Someone refresh my memory.

Wasn’t this the same guy who was a darling on the right during the Clinton years? He was one of the few (maybe the only) weapons inspectors who was exposing (bad choice of words, I know) the Saddam regime during that time. I vaguely remember his sudden flip to the dark side.

Wikipedia has the whole story. He was one of those that was convinced “sanctions” would solve the Iraq problem.

He did make mention of the weapon stockpiles that Saddam had, and continued to have after Saddam kicked out the inspectors.
Then, after the 2003 liberation of Iraq, Ritter suddenly turned around and denied everything he had previously said.
Curious, that.
