He did make mention of the weapon stockpiles that Saddam had, and continued to have after Saddam kicked out the inspectors.
Then, after the 2003 liberation of Iraq, Ritter suddenly turned around and denied everything he had previously said.
Curious, that.

Ritter started turning in 1999... shortly after meeting al Khafaji in the Senate hearings and then after receiving the movie deal that followed that meeting.

Ritter said he found a children’s prison in Iraq but chose not to report it for fear such a place would be used to justify war on Iraq. I wonder if he stumbled upon the place or if Iraq showed it to him knowing- via the Russians- that he might have a personal interest in it that Saddam Hussein hoped could lead to a “deal,” or maybe more likely they had him find it in the hope he would do something they could use to blackmail him with later.
