Phoenix resident Maria Moldonado came to the United States three years ago. She was working at a restaurant and got fired after an immigration rade. "I am sick of people telling me that I am illegal," she states. Arizona was a part of Mexico long before White people stole it." Ms. Moldonano, a single mother, has been forced to move herself and her three children into a homeless shelter. "They treat us like crap her. We get cheap government food and are often cold."
Erin Cavallo, an undocument student in the Maricopa Community College District, lives in a storage area just outside of Phoenix. "I live in a box. It's uncomfortable, but I have to do what I need to in order to survive." Ms. Cavallo plans to finish her school work and wants to become a nurse, but is being prevented from doing so because of her immigration status.

1. Go back to your country, you won’t be illegal.
2. White people didn’t steal the country. Parts of it we bought. Other parts we won from indian wars. Other parts we bought from other countries. Your part we won beating your ass several times in wars.
When you win a war, you get to keep the territory. We didn’t steal anything. Your ancestors freaking lost it.
This begs the question of why this particular "stolen" land is prosperous and the 750,000 square miles of Mexico proper are a craphole of poverty and corruption. It begs the question of why people bother coming to this "racist, oppressive" place in the first place. Why is America rich and Mexico poor? The Mexican race-baiters never answer that question except in the most vague terminology that somehow American having "stolen the land" somehow made the rest of Mexico poor, though they never explain exactly why this is so.
The truth is, if we ceded the Southwest back to Mexico, we would immediately face millions of Mexicans trying to cross the new border into Louisiana, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and Oregon. THERE IS NOTHING MAGICAL ABOUT "THE LAND." What matters is the culture (not the race) of the people who inhabit it. A culture of liberty, private property, and the rule of law will be prosperous. A culture of ruling oligarchies and entrenched corruption will be impoverished.
Stole it? Guess if a white person buys a house and the Latino’s great grandchildren decide they want the house back, then whoever lives in the house must have stolen it. Is that how this works? Because, it’s the same kind of thing.
My grand grandparents ended up in Milwaukee. They needed to get sponsorship from my grand grandmother’s brother before they could enter the country.
And yet she's here because she considers it better than the pissant country she left.
I guess the Examiner doesn't have the cash for editors or even writers that know how to spell.
I LOVE the logic of the illegals! Ms. Moldonano, would you tell us who inhabited Arizona before "Mexico" came along? And where did those folks who carved "Mexico" come from?

There was a war.
We won.
Deal with it, Maria.
And you wouldn't want to be there if it was "part of Mexico."
Go home, illegal.
And I'll bet he didn't whine about his hardships, either. He just worked hard to make a better life.
LOL. I stated here before that when a border State actually cracks down on the invaders - that is prevent them from getting free schooling, housing, welfare, unemployment compensation and especially employment( by nailing companies that hire them), they will self deport - perhaps to other States. The drop in crime, emergency services, school overcrowding, unemployment and government outlays will be so significant, that we will finally be able to beat the concept about the head of all Liberals: illegal aliens cost Americans money and jobs.
Just another amnesty, open-borders peddler. Advice to illegals: fix the hellhole that is Mexico whose flag you proudly wave.

Thank you for this timeline. How many of these "amnesty" protestors are aware of this history?
How many are aware that Mexico was also once ruled by an Austrian?

The comments at the Examiner are great!
Now that the media has to allow comments on their articles they don’t get away with as much nonsense as before.
