If any government agency attempts to reprimand any individuals or businesses in Texas, the governor should have standing orders for the Texas Rangers or national guard to arrest the agents.

Oh that will surely petrify Washington D.C.

Then the Tyrants will simply seize the bank accounts, cancel federal contracts, and start repossession of all the homes that Feddie and Freddie have a stake in. Then they could stop making federal payments to Welfare recipients, and that feral, doped up and violent demographic will raise hell overwhelming the authorities, which the average Texan is involved, which isn't what you think because too much of our population is made up of illegals and migrants from states like Mass, Mich and Cali. When push comes to shove, more people will line up with the Feds than with Texas.

Then of course they just assume full control of the permit process anyway, and if any company has any assets that can be seized for failure to comply with the Federal regulations, or failure to obtain a Federal permit, those will be seized. If any principles of the company can be kidnapped (arrested), they will be. If the company wants to challenge, then the court lag time will be in the years before a hearing can even be scheduled. Meanwhile key company officials are held for ransom in the Federal prisons for as long as it takes.

Basically we are outnumbered and outgunned by those who have far more interest in the Feds winning.

Likely Impacts if EPA wins ...

Refinery Sector (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN2222204620100322 ):
- freeze in investments in refining capacity (plastics, feedstocks, commodity chemicals)
- rise in wholesale prices for these goods, which will drive inflation on most goods sold (including food)
- increase in Asian and European imports; further decline in US manufacturing
- development of long-term plans to move US refining offshore
- short-term job losses; long-term job sector losses

Zero & the EPA just love this stuff; their Regula-tocracy allows them to:
- directly hurt a right-leaning state for not liking Zero and his thugs
- drive electricity, chemicals and energy in general out of the US
- directly impact prices of electricity
- cripple the US coal industry
- bypass Congress and put off the courts
- act like “middle of the road concerned American patriots” while executing a regulatory Communist manifesto

That would work, or either cut the pipelines at the Red.

>>Texas Governor Perry is fighting the takeover<<

Yeah, right. Gov. Good Hair is not who you think he is.

Just recall his push for government mandated Gardisill injections that finally rough the feathers of so many it, the program was halted.

Perry's support of the Mexican trucker pilot program.

Perry's lethargic efforts to seal the Texas/Mexican border.

Perry's lil pet project to confiscate through imminent domain thousands of acres of private farm and ranch land for the Trans-Texas Corridor.

This huge multi-billion behemoth is to promote the abolition of borders between Canada, Mexico and the U.S. This is all to advance a globalist agenda of so called free trade.....follow the money.

I'm just befuddled so many were hoodwinked (I use this term very loosely) by this CFR/Bilderburg prince.

>>First of all, Perry has been adamant that he’s not running for president.<<

Perry is a polished politician, don’t believe a word he say’z.

He will run in 2012, whether he gets the ultimate nod...who knows.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sure. We have known for a looooong time hat Good hair was a RINO. But, Medina couldn’t make her case and Hutchison was as big a RINO or worse than Good Hair.

So all we can hope for is that Perry does not cave any further to his illegal alien loving friends. Texas has also
been infected with carpetbagging RINOs from the lands to the North for the last 30 years.

When push comes shove, like it will very soon with the EPA, it will be very interersting to see where these folks
loyalties are? With Texas or with the Feds.......

Way to weaken a country blessed with rich resources
and bring her to her knees, huh?

The meme of vague, amorphous “earth,” which was
created by God FOR humanity, now is more precious
and sacred than humanity.

God help us.

One question from a native Texan....what the hell is up with our gubernatorial candidates?

No wonder Perry has skated to the mansion time and again.

The “liberal” Jewish cowboy....what was his name?
The old tired grandma....???
911 truther Medina
Bill “give away the farm” White

It's like a freakin circus.

Don’t forget, as well, that the incoming Texas legislature will be a fair bit more conservative than the last. And it
may be harder for Perry to ignore people like Leo Berman and Debbie Riddle. Riddle camped out to be able to file her
anti-illegal immigration bill first.

If Perry is presented an SB1070 there will be ENORMOUS pressure from the little people for him to sign it. Look for Perry to start maneuvering to avoid that situation soon. He will try to pick off Berman and Riddle’s supporters by making “back room” deals.

Thanks. The Reuters article (3/2010) explains exactly the EPA’s intent. This is clearly an attempt to implement Cap-n-Trade (without carbon credit) by regulating carbon emissions.

I’m not an environmental lawyer (although I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once on Long Island), nor do I clearly understand the Supreme Court ruling on the Clean Air Act, however my read of the Gov’t filing against Texas is very strong:

1. a rulemaking may only be challenged in the D.C. Circuit under section 307(b) of the Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. § 7607(b), and

2. pursuant to the Supreme Court’s decision, EPA concluded in late 2009 that motor vehicle emissions of greenhouse gases are subject to regulation under CAA section 202(a)(1), 42 U.S.C. § 7521(a)(1), because they contribute to air pollution that is reasonably anticipated to endanger public health and welfare, due to effects of greenhouse gases on climate.

Sad to say, even folks like Dan Patrick (which I had great respect for) are becoming part of the political game.

Agree or not, support it or not, this new DUI law Patrick and many others supported is down right tyrannical.

No refusal warrants.

Holding citizens down and forcefully drawing blood samples if they refuse breath analysis.

Doesn't anyone see anything wrong with the government forcing blood extraction from the accused?

I realize the arguments for and against....but this give government too much power and in my opinion usurps the constitution by compelling the accused by force to submit evidence against himself which will be used in court against them.

DUI checkpoints....traveling after midnight from San Antonio to Houston? You could find yourself qued up in a line checking for dunder heads hopped up on booze.....but you too must present your papers if you'd like to move from point A to point B. Lic, registration, insurance and scrutiny by sometimes over zealous small town cops.

Papers please! Anyone see anything wrong with this?

Speed traps, webs of cameras being installed throughout cities, government control through EPA, FCC, IRS and so forth without congressional approval.

Our society seems to be going through a great transformation from freedom to super surveilled, super regulated.

I dunno, just sayin. Any thoughts?

Of course the Feds/Obama must go after Texas. We are leading the economy in many areas and that must be stopped.

A letter to your senators and representatives:

Dear _______________, it has become increasingly obvious that the president intends to use the power of the MANY agencies to bypass the will of the people and Congress. For that reason, it is imperative for Congress to reclaim the power it has abdicated to the executive branch. I propose a simple amendment that be put in EVERY bill voted on by Congress until it passes. The wording is as follows:

“No government agency, organization, or entity created by Congress in the past or future shall have legislative or judicial powers. For the purpose of this amendment, “legislative power” shall be construed to mean the making of any rule violation of which renders a citizen of any state or the United States to imprisonment, fine, or other punishment. “Judicial power” shall be construed to mean, the holding of any evidentiary hearing not presided over by an Article III court or the issuance of findings which result in imprisonment, fine, or punishment of a citizen of any state or the United States.

Under this law, all current rules implemented by any government agency, organization, or entity created by Congress that has legislative or judiciary powers as defined above will become null and void five years from the date of passage unless approved by normal constitutional means.”

Please consider this carefully.

Can’t stop laughing at the knee-jerk replies in this thread. Ongoing legal battle with an executive agency? SECEDE NOW. Christmas is a joyous time, but the ridiculous posts here make the 24th an even more enjoyable experience.
