Republicans poised to take power in Congress are planning a rapid attack against a climate change initiative the Obama administration wants to launch on January 2, according to members of the Senate and House of Representatives.

Their resolve could harden further after President Barack Obama's Environmental Protection Agency announces a second layer of regulation, possibly as early as Thursday, ratcheting up Washington's fight against global warming.

"I think we ought to start with a two-year pause" in upcoming U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations, said Representative Mike Simpson, the Republican who is expected to head a House panel that controls EPA's budget.

They want the dictatorial United Nations to mandate what is allowed and what is banned on the Internet, as well as totally controlling TV and radio airwaves. Somehow they will find methods to enforce their anti-freedom agenda.

"...rapid attack against a climate change..."

Boy, are they going to look stupid when this whole climate change due to human activity is once and for all proved wrong and blow up in their faces.
It's gaining steam. Every day some scientist is speaking out about the bad science behind this. The scientists behind this crap are going to lose their credibility, but knowing the Fedgov, probably not their funding.

I am going to laugh my ass off and celebrate the day. It's coming - just watch. I saw it back in the 1970's with the "New Ice Age" scare; the Ozone scare; the Over-population scare; the Alcar scare; the dumbass Nature vs Nurture crap; and others.

The thing that tickled me the most out of all the pseudo-science crap was the Nature vs Nurture issue. You had only to be a parent to see the inherent differences between the sexes. It's called hormones - males more testosterone (aggressive), females more estrogen (passive). But the feminists and the liberal social-scientists insisted that there were NO differences between the sexes other than what was taught at a young age. That would be the "nurture" side of the arguement.

Some years later while being late to the party, Time magazine announced to the public "Inherent Differences Between Boys and Girls". The whole thesis was so absurb, it was laughable.

Mark my words, the same professional academics will someday declare that human caused global warming or climate change is a myth. Hopefully, not before too much economic damage is done through the various Global redistribution entities.

We're already screwed in California with the latest version of "cap and trade" passed in our liberal State. Watch, as the companies run for the hills (other states). In the name of the great philosopher, Forest Gump, "stupid is as stupid does".

Commonsense is a dying concept.

Amateur Radio cannot have political discussions. Two people can talk about stuff but a station can not operate and voice political speech. It is a no-no.

Funny,we did without the EPA for 200 hundred years.

There was already a Department of Health in every state ,that surely had constitutional jurisdiction over such matters.

:I guess we needed the EPA to forbid burning our own coal or using a flush toilet that actually flushed!

The local Lowe's store restroom has sensor faucets that barely wet one's hands;hardly the 30 seconds of vigorous scrubbing recommended to stop the spread of the cold and flu viruses.Seriously, those faucets are a joke;and not just in Lowe's.
