That can’t be true....FReepers have been telling me for 22 months that if we just call, fax, write, rally, etc., we will prevail.

Left is getting as much of their legislation passed as they can before the New Congress convenes in 2011.

Hopefully, their last hurrah.

Here are the sippiest (R)s in the US Senate.

The 11 Republican senators who voted in favor of moving ahead with the treaty Tuesday were Richard G. Lugar (Ind.), Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Robert F. Bennett (Utah), Scott Brown (Mass.), Thad Cochran (Miss.), Susan Collins (Maine), Bob Corker (Tenn.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Olympia J. Snowe (Maine) and George V. Voinovich (Ohio).

All also voted in favor of ratification Wednesday, as did Gregg. In addition, Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) voted for the treaty, pushing the total yes votes to 71.

These people have no regard for American Safety and are typical “go-along-to get-along” republicans and should be voted out of office as soon as possible.

I’m so disgusted with the Republican Senate I can’t hardly stand it any longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"We know when we've been beaten," Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch told reporters hours before Tuesday's vote.

This AH is too STUPID to be in a position of any kind of power.

Every RINO that voted for this and DADT repeal must be fired in 2012

Why are FIRED employees still making decisions that affect the health and well being of the company (country)?

They should be shown the door with a swift boot to help them along the way.

By an amazing coincidence, the 71-26 vote in the Senate is almost exactly the same percentage as the Parliament’s vote in support of Chamberlain’s Munich Agreement (369-150).

First time in US history that a lame duck congress has passed a treaty.

I would say it is not just the British Parliament that the Rooskies have infiltrated with staffers!! We need to have a nice little investigation of the staffs of eleven particular Republicans, I believe!!!

Look, folks, The Pubbies cut a deal to get the Bush tax cuts to remain in place. Now, you can rant and rave all you want, but neither “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” repeal and the “Start” treaty mean zilch. First, no one except the gays cares a hoot about the repeal. Plus, it is a long way off before it goes into effect. As for “Start” the Ruskies worked Obama over, which makes them look good to America haters, where the real nuclear threat lies like in North Korea and Iran. Don’t you get it? These outlaw countries have Mr. “Weakness” Obama wired. As for our left-wing media praising Obama’s every move, don’t believe everything you read!!! At the end of the day, as my British friends say, this lame duck session of congress does nothing for Obama in the long run. He is about to be twisted like he never dreamed he could be, thanks to sixty-two new Pubbies coming on board in the House. Remember, it is not only Obama that needs to go. The entire Democrat Party needs to be destroyed politically from top to bottom. November, 2010 was just the beginning salvo!!!

This is extremely disappointing.

As a general rule, I am very proud of our two senators from Tennessee--both Republicans--but this was surely not their finest hour. To put it mildly.

Both Sens. Alexander and Corker voted for START.

Whether they did this because they genuinely believed that it is a good thing, or simply in the name of pragmatism (i.e. a desire not to "weaken" President Obama by handing him a major foreign-policy defeat), I do not know.

Either way, this one stings. A lot.

The Russians' reading of the preamble suggests that we may be dissuaded, in the future, from pursuing a serious missile-defense system, lest we should irritate the Russians, and thereby provoke them into withdrawing from the treaty.

The question remains, what did the Russians have on the usurper in chief that made this so important to him. So important they warned him and said DON’T YOU DARE CHANGE A SINGLE THING IT!

The only thing was the vote was not 80-20 or 90-10. The only thing that the politicans do would be to do something good and decent.

But, in the end, I can’t blame them. Each one of them were put in office by a majority of votes. In the end, what one sows, one also reaps.

Well...there goes the bond market....DADT....+ the START Treaty effectively demilitarizes the US. Just as did Jimmy Carter.

No reason left for the international community to buy US bonds.

Thats how the world intends to deal with the threat of Constitutional US government.
